Lol i can totally see Fili in that picture having just said "Ciao" the way eddie izzard does.

Gloin kinda scares me.

Why is galadrial giving me the middle finger?

And why does Ori always look mentally challnged?

I would want to hang out with these dwarves. Bet it would be a blast.

Ori's pupils always look super dilated to me... like he's tripping on some Middle Earth shrooms. I do love how he has a book and is already writing stuff down. It's funny you mentioned that about Ori though, since Bifur's supposed to be the 'special' one.

Are those boomerang type weapons that Nori has? And why the hell are his eyebrows braided to his hair? Seems uncomfortable.

Bifur looks like he is totally unhinged. Like he might squawk at you or bite your nose off.

Were there any cheers when it came on? People like to do that for previews.

Well it was morning matinee time, there wasn't that many people. :oldrazz: I know I cheered, I guess that counts. :o

Yeah...oh I forgot to mention. The Cinemark theater I e-mailed to responded and they said they will be showing The Hobbit in 48 fps 3D. Can't wait!

Cool, I have to find out if the Edward's cinema by my house is doing 48fps. It just opened about a month ago, so I think they'll be updated.

Thanks for posting that track. Can't wait for Howard Shore's score. Are there any more tracks available?

ComingSoon posted the "Radagast the Brown" track from the soundtrack on the site. Feels at home in the LOTR universe, but with some new ideas that are new and welcome.

Yeah it sounds awesome so far, It just made me want to listen to the entire LOTR soundtrack again.

Ah, that was a treat. Many familiar elements, but in a good way. Nothing felt redundant like we had been there and done that. It was more of a little tickle like it was saying "hey, remember this bit." Love that he is still going with the choir and that wet aural effect. The choir bit at the end sounds creepy and dramatic to me. Cant wait to hear the rest.

Oh, i couldnt help but think of sherlock holmes when the out of tune violin came in.

The music is making me realize how close this is getting. Cannot wait to see this. Finally about time to head back to Middle Earth.

^ ha!

From Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Peter Jackson comes The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, the first of a trilogy of films adapting the enduringly popular masterpiece The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien.

The three films tell a continuous story set in Middle-earth 60 years before The Lord of the Rings, which Jackson and his filmmaking team brought to the big screen in the blockbuster trilogy that culminated with the Oscar®-winning The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

Hey, Neil Finn's done a song for this, awesome.

tickets went on sale today here in australia. going to grab some gold class tickets.

Still dont have the LOTR trilogy on BD, thinking of ordering the extended editions to watch before this comes out, are they worth it?

Well worth it, it's pretty much 40 hours of content. The extras are so detailed and the transfer looks amazing.

Cool, thanks, torn between ordering LOTR or the Star Wars movies at the minute, both come recommended so finding it difficult to decide.

I got the LOTR trilogy on Blu for my birthday last year, as it happens it released on my birthday! But...I still haven't watched it yet! How ridiculous, stupid school gets in the way of several movies I have yet to watch that I own on Blu...

But it definitely is a nice set(I plan on picking Star Wars up before the end of this year hopefully).

It took me pretty much the entire weekend (including Friday) to get though, my ass was sour but man it was worth it. lol
