nice to see that PJ will still do blogs. he likes this stuff and gives us fans info how they make those movies.

i always liked that PJ is using natural lighting for hes sets. it makes it more real.

I'm not going to lie I almost started crying as well. Kinda iconic the first angle shot (or at least shown to be shot) is Bilbo picking up the ring.

You know what comforted me the most was how happy PJ was. I really have felt he was trying to avoid doing this film, as if it was a horrible experience with LOTR and he did not want to do it again. But what he said at the end put a big smile on my face and just gave me goose bumps. And cool to know that the first stuff they started filming is with Gollum.

And Octoberist you are right. I was worried he just looked depressed in some shots. But seeing him do this it's almost like a light has been re-ignited in him and he still has the same humor and charm.

That video was incredible. I was smiling the entire time and almost cried from happiness near the end seeing Bilbo pick up the ring. And then the voice-over and the camera zooming in on Bag End's door to the sound of "Concerning Hobbits" gave me chills. That's how I've always imagined the film beginning.

Yeah, I got a bit emotional watching that. Very surreal as a somewhat passive fan. I can't even imagine the emotions going through the hearts of returning cast and crew, not to mention the feelings for the new members. And that shot of Bilbo picking up the ring just...nice.
