you haven't missed anything. it's just a wild guess on my part because a) Brankin doesn't exist in the 616- Universe b) he's involved in every facet of the Ultimates project and c) he hasn't done anything of note yet. smells like a traitor in waiting to me. me, i think he's the Abomination. think about it. the 616 Emil Blonsky was masquerading as a scientist at the same atomic research base as the Hulk.

Clones? I thought they were trying to replicate the Ultimates through technology. So Hydra come out?

technically speaking... yeah. Read issue 8, they feature quite prominently. I havent read the annual myself.

According to the annual, Capt. is the one that they want to perfectly duplicate (super soldier serum, not some crappy suit). However, he is the one that they continually fail with.

They wonder why he is the only one the serum has never killed (besides Banner, of course, but he mixed it anyway).

honestly, i don't know. i'd prefer that he be Ultimate Emil Blonsky. but if they want to rename the Abomination, that's their business.

maybe the wasp? she is a mutant maybe working for magneto or just pissed off at the government that built sentinals. and she is manipulating hank pym and cap. or maybe betsy ross saw a way to get out of the whole obsession thing that banner has with her.
