Just finished reading from a thread in the MillarWorld forums.It's regular for the mods on the site to receive unfinished issues of Mark's work.Some of the mods have already read the unfinished issue 9 and have hinted at an incredible splash ending page with numerous characters.

I am very uneasy about Ultimates being drawn by JoeMad.

They should have picked up another artist with a scope for realism,but not similar to Hitch's.Someone like McNiven,his work in New Avengers blew me away.But JoeMad is a total departure from that realism fans expect out of this book.

It was even said that Cap is going to be closer to his 616 counterpart.Now,that totally pisses me off.I don't care if it's costume-wise or character-wise,keep Cap the way he is in the Ultimate books.If it's not broken,don't fix it.There's a reason why I don't read 616 Cap and not they want to make Ult Cap closer to the 616 Cap.

I like JoeMad's art but he's not the guy for Ultimates and he has no work ethic, If I was him I'd go talk to Mark Bagley or JRJR, about balancing quality control and being on time.
This the problem with this new generation of artists they are lazy bastards, yeah for the most part they drawing ability of this new crop of artists is on average better than most of the old guys, but give me a Kirby or Romita sr. anyday over some of these jokers!

I've also noticed that the artists who can keep on schedule, are either from a military family/background or the offspring of established artists.

People don't understand the value of doing your job and doing it well and in a timely fashion.
