They don't. Bin Laden and his followers are wanted international terrorists. They have no political power whatsoever.



They don't. They're just the ones you hear about the most. Honestly, are you more likely to hear about a member of the KKK or an everage fellow on the street who holds no ill will against black people? You hear about the fanatics because they make the news.

Then why did the guy have to leave?? If it's just a few, the good Muslims should be able to check these guys. Even the judicial sytem was against this guy up until the "WORLD" started putting pressure on them.

It's none of those. What are you expecting to happen? Have 24 hours of average Muslims on the street saying that they don't particularly like Bin Laden? What next? CNN interveiwing law abiding citizens about how they're not commiting crimes? The average Muslim has no control over the likes of Bin Laden. The fact that you expect them to makes no sense.


Oh...it's all of those and more. The silence is deafening from the "moderate" Muslims. They say nothing and do nothing. Oh...I'm wrong....they do say "don't profile me". Where were the marches and protests when their fellow "fanatics" were burning down embassies over that cartoon? When heads were being sliced off??? When this man was chased from his own country for exercising religious freedom??? They certainly have a weak majority if indeed they are majority.

Why not? Why must love of one's country automatically extend to devotion to one's government?

Because in those countries, both go hand in hand. Islam permeates every part of life.

I could be wrong,but I don't think Loeb has ever tackled the Avengers in the past.So this could be good if Loeb has one hell of a ***** for the characters and is willling to blow a good load in terms of quality super hero stories.

Loeb is a good writer. I have liked his stuff in the past -- Daredevil Yellow and Hulk Grey.

I hope The Ultimates doesn't turn into the oddball weird-ass Superman/Batman stories. >_< I didn't mind Superman/Batman at all - actually enjoyed it - but that doesn't mean I want to watch a gazillion different versions of Captain America.

On that note, I love just about everything I've ever read by Loeb. Yeah, it's a huge shame to see Millar leave the title, but Loeb should do a good job, as long as it doesn't become too 616. That's my fear.

I agree with the others, i'd rather see Ed do 3 and 4. I love his style.
I can't wait to see both of them, what characters are added or happens to the older ones.

I have a question: Besides the Gwen Stacy thing, how is any of that butchering history? Hell, I think most of those were pretty good ideas, and even Sins Past was well written, even though the idea lefrt much to be desired.
