Ronda Rousey disappoints the f*** out of me. Dana White was doing too much naking her seem like this ultimate badass.

:down

What are the odds of Shamrock getting knocked out by Gracie, and if Dada 5000 beats Kimbo, does that put him in line for the next title shot? Is this Dada guy any good at all? I haven't really seen any promotion for it though, but I know that Bonnar-Ortiz fight gave Bellator their highest ratings ever.

I think it is telling what "kept her going" was having the babies of a woman beating piece of crap.

I've seen 2 Dada 5000 MMA fights & he looks like, exactly what he is, a street fighter, swings wide, wild & recklessly. Does look like he lands heavy though, but I'd honestly be surprised if Kimbo is unable to KO him as even if you compared Kimbo's street fights to Dada 5000's 2 MMA fights, Kimbo looks more skilled with equally heavy hands.

Shamrock vs Gracie I've no interest in.

Melvin Guillard who's also on the card failed to make weight.

Lol man Kimbo was tired as hell!!! Dada is garbage but it seems like Kimbo didn't even train for this. He has more energy on his street fights.

How in the hell did Tank Abott lose to Kimbo?

What an embarrassing night.

I nearly wrote a big long post that pretty much said exactly the same thing, I decided not to post it and waste my energy.

Bellator continue to find ways to drag the sport lower & lower in the pursuit of some publicity.

They went from a company that started out doing very good things, to being the UFC pre-Zuffa. I have so many problems with the UFC, but Bellator is just as bad, at least on the surface. They almost had a guy die in the cage last night because he wasn't physically fit enough to fight. They also seemed to have another obviously fixed main event.

That saddest thing, these events are their biggest money makers. What does that say about fans and casuals?

Dada acted like he was in the Redwood Forest. TIMBER!

So depressing. Love Shamrock so much. Really more gutted for him than I probably should be.

Big John gets the Dada/Kimbo show, and this jabroni gets the 2 legends... Reminds me why Bellator is Bellator.

Yep, that too. I'm usually not one to kick someone when they're down, but Rousey has no spine. Just like Lesnar, Tyson, and even Mayweather said, you win some and lose some. You have to learn how to take a loss. She talked so much s***. She disrespected other opponents. She put on this persona as the most dangerous person on the planet. She better recondition her body and come back as a force to be reckoned with because for many, she has to prove that she deserved to ride that over-produced media freight train prior to her loss.

I understand people, regardless of sex, can be emotional. But for her, to be the face of the UFC and regarded as the baddest fighter on the planet, she let MMA down as a sport. Like I said, she has no spine.

I thought Shamrock was too old when Tito beat him the last time. That was ten years ago.

Yeah, how did Royce v. Ken not also qualify as a freak show? I found that just as embarrassing.

She played the crying girl card, which is insane considering how often they want to play it like she is just like any other fighter. Don't pay attention to her sex, she is just like the guys. If a male fighter had done that, he would never live it down. There wouldn't be sympathy, there would be ridicule. Now I am not saying that is right, but it is the truth.

She has been complaining about the internet recently, which is so ironic considering what she has used the internet to say about her opponents. As you pointed out she has talked so much crap, and has done so by saying horrible things about her opponents for no reason.

I agree. Not that she needed it but Rousey lost my respect.

Kimbo/Dada fight was horrible to watch. I've seen drunk dudes at a bar fight better than these bums.

I'm convinced that Tyson would've knocked out Dada in under thirty seconds with zero prep. That was the worst grappling that I've ever seen.

Fair enough I could understand them putting on these types of events at the start to gain some promotion & get their name out there. But now there's no need for it, they've a TV deal & they're currently probably the 2nd most well known MMA franchise behind the UFC, admittedly the gap between the 2 is massive in terms of how recognised they are but still.

What they should do is invest some time in recruiting some credible fighters to fill out their ranks. Try to unearth more talent instead of trying to poach more of UFC's cast offs or former stars.

I don't think the Shamrock vs Gracie fight was fixed, I just think that Shamrock has got to a point in his career where he is simply fighting for paychecks, doesn't give a **** about his legacy. Since 2004 he has had 1 of the 11 fights he's had since then go out of the first round. I was nearly going to write before the bout I bet if Shamrock can't finish him inside a minute he'd end up folding inside the first round.

The Dada 5000 vs Kimbo fight was absolutely dreadful, both guys had absolutely no right to be exhausted after the first round & the 2nd & 3rd round were both pillow fighting contests because neither had the energy to throw a semi-powerful punch. Dada 5000 looked like he was TKO'd by gravity more than Kimbo's punches because he just staggered forward into him exhausted then backwards after a Kimbo uppercut brushed his forehead.

I didn't expect much from that fight to be honest, did anybody see the open workouts? Did you see Dada 5000 hitting the pads & the heavy bag?
I think he maybe trained a total of 3 or 4 days for the fight on a diet of cheeseburgers, chips & fizzy drinks.

Bellator 149 did good ratings, so Bellator has no reason to stop being a carnival sideshow act. Not saying I like it or approve, but it gets good numbers. Last Saturday's show did even bigger numbers than Bellator with Kimbo vs. Ken Shamrock.

They do if they have any aspirations to actually attempt to eclipse the UFC as MMA's premiere company. There is no longevity in putting on freakshow events like this IMO.

RDA out of UFC 196, McGregor currently without opponent. Absolutely crazy.

As of right now, Cerrone & Nate Diaz are the 2 names that seem likely to replace RDA.

UFC should consider just pulling McGregor from the card & postponing the bout till UFC 200. Fighting Cerrone or Diaz makes no real sense to me because I anticipate that he'll fight once at LW, then drop down to fight Edgar at FW, so having a non-title bout now, delaying a LW title fight only stalls up the FW division when there's a clear challenger in Edgar.

So it's Diaz... at 170! Talking over the two weeks will be legendary.
