Bellator 131 wasn't a bad card. Bonnar got beat up, but did give Ortiz a workout, and Brooks' win was impressive.

Bonnar/Ortiz would've actually made for a better co-main event at UFC 180 than Ellenberger/Gastelum.

Bonnar got outstruck by Tito. That's beyond embarrassing. At least we'll never see him again, or he should at least be ashamed to ever show his face in public ever again.

Too bad Tito won't answer King Mo's call out. Because then we'd never have to see Tito again either.

Wonder if with 2 straight wins, if Ortiz is going to be to Bellator for Coker what Frank Shamrock was for Coker in Strikeforce?

So this happened to Leslie Smith! HOLY SH**!

RIP Left Ear

everyone's reaction at the sportsbar was......:wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow:

The beginning of UFC 180 was nuts. Brown pooping himself, Leslie's ear getting split, then a headbutt followed by the first 2-point deduction in a loooong time.

I doubt it. Any time they try to put him up against a legit LHW he'll have another sudden back, neck, knee, or cracked skull injury. Bellator doesn't have that many great LHWs but geeze, he barely beat Bonnar. I don't know who else Bellator has that he could beat.

It was a decisive loss. No clue how it was a split decision. Ortiz won this.

No one was a winner in this fight. It was terribly boring. Tito and his nickname he gave himself that he doesn't deserve at all is just as annoying as Joe Warren who declared himself the "baddest man on the planet" nickname.

People who give themselves nicknames, especially ones like that, are a total farce.

It wasn't the best fight of all time, but if that's how you viewed that fight then you don't know anything. Ortiz is probably to this day one of the most recognizable figures in MMA, and Bonnar is literally one of the guys that made widespread MMA possible.

Frankie Edgar is the man.

Also, I saw this photoshop that was just too hilarious not to share.

Don't know why people still continue to underestimate Edgar.

They're both totally irrelevant now. And what does any of that have to do with how good or boring their fight was or how I don't know anything?

Tito was champ when the UFC was terrible and very thin, and Bonnar is famous for being beat up in a fight and going on to do nothing except steroids.

I don't think they underestimate him necessarily. I just don't think they want to see him fight Aldo again. But he definitely deserves it more than Connor.

I know all the cool kids are hating on Ortiz these days, but in his prime, he was a badass. He also didn't just beat Elvis he destroyed him, and Elvis was no joke, Babalu and Frank Shamrock couldn't finish him.

I remember the Aldo fight being close? A change in game plan here or there could result in a win.

Expected more from Swanson. Especially from training at Jackson's. He really needs to work on his wrestling if he wants a title shot. Was expecting Edgar to win anyway, but that was complete destruction and dissection of Swanson. Edgar does deserve the next title shot though.

Can't wait to watch UFC 181.

I've never liked Tito and he's never really been impressive even when the division was at it's weakest and thinnest ever.

Elvis not getting finished by Frank and Babalu(or any fighter) is really not any huge accomplishment. He still lost to them and his only decent win was Jeremy Horn. Elvis was terrible.

Frank did finish Tito, and Tito never fought Babalu. But that's all MMA Math and it never adds up anyway.

That's not really a thing. Legacies don't get tarnished. They are already well established.
I disagree. Wins &losses are part of a fighter's legacy. Taking losses in fights you should no longer be competing in will damage that W/L record

There are almost zero fighters(or professional athletes for that matter) who didn't fall off at the end of their careers. It just happens. It doesn't mean that what came before wasn't completely amazing.

I don't understand all the Tito hate. After seeing some of his interviews I've grown to really respect him. He's still top twenty, barely. Plus, he beat one of them (Bader).

Because everything about him is fake. Everything he does is to get people to like him and give him money. He's a joke.

Does anyone believe Aldo will fight more than once in 2015? I don't, and therefore I feel the next Featherweight Championship fight should be (and I know this is a very pro wrestling suggestion) a triple threat:

(C) Jose Aldo VS Frankie Edgar VS Conor McGregor.

Well Aldo did fight twice in 2014 ultimately. Granted he still got injured a lot and one fight card did get cancelled because of that injury.

We might have to see the rematch with Edgar next.

I think people are finally sick of him, he's no longer a fighter that can talk **** & back it up.. he's now one of those fighters that talks ****, gets his ass kicked & still doesn't shut up.

He should have retired after he went on that 4 or 5 fight losing streak, the lose to Matt Hamill should have been the final nail in the coffin.
