That's probably poorly chosen wording. It should be: "Marvel may be setting up the infrastructure to start production of Fantastic Four."
... and based on the information in the article, it seems to be a safe bet.![]()
Hardly earth-shattering news. MARVEL MAY BE GEARING UP PRE-PRODUCTION ON FANTASTIC FOUR.
1. Can you be more vague?
2. Gee, ya think they might be starting work on Fantastic Four soon?
Rumor mills like this really annoy me.
Setting up a production company for the FF is news. The ONLY real news we've had since Fiege announced they would be making an FF film. If that doesn't get you excited, I don't know why you're even reading this thread, because I can pretty much guarantee you we haven't had more in the past couple months and we won't get more in the next couple months.
If you want to wait until opening day, fine that's fair, but as for me, I'm into this enough that I'm hungry for news and will take anything I can get.
A production company called “Solve Everything” is as close to a sure thing as you can get. It’s right out of the comics.
Name one bigger development regarding the FF film over the past year.
"Grass Fed"? Blade?“Grass Fed” requires much more of a leap of faith, but since “Solve Everything” is almost certainly FF, it makes sense that Grass Fed is Blade.

Hellcow Confirmed
If that means they are looking to Hickman's run for inspiration then I am even more excited!
That run is among the best runs and shows that the team works in the modern era.
That would be cool to see. I imagine after a few phases the First Family will find themselves at a crossroads similar to the Avengers at the end of Phase 3. While there's plenty of comic material to lay out the New Avengers on film going forward, the Future Foundation is still relatively new, but I look forward to seeing them get to that point for a poignant passing of the torch. The Future Foundation infrastructure established by Hickman also creates the potential of the FF being an evergreen franchise not totally dependent on the four founding members.
Total left field fanwanky idea...
Two newly named production are not an FF film and a Marvel film to be named later... It is an FF duology being filmed back to back as a way to introduce the FF with an EVENT type feel.
One summer for FF1 and then the follow up in the next summer.
Fan wank? Sure.
I do expect SOMETHING though to be attempted to make up for the lost ground caused by the pandemic.

I had a dream last night that I was at Comic Con 2021.
At the Marvel presentation, they showed a film. We were flying over a gray, barren, rocky planet with deep valleys. Suddenly a huge eyeball appeared in the center of it and the film went from black-and-white to color and the eye was brilliant blue and the surrounding rocky landscape was orange.
It was really cool.![]()
Was really hoping that there would be FF news this year before covid happened. But next year makes much more sense, especially considering it's the team's 60th anniversary.
It would be better though if there were a FF film next year rather than news about a film. Imagine James Bond's 50th anniversary was not Skyfall but news about a possible film.
