I don't get this. He flat out says this is the day everyone will finally overcome their differences and that from then on July 4th would be recognized as the day the entire world united together in common interest. It's as plain as day. There's nothing pro-American about that speech.
It's just one example of many. Michael Bay's films, Air Force One, etc. It's not the patriotism or content of those kinds of speeches, it's the execution, with the cheesy music and the overly dramatic, hammy, delivery that does it.
