So, what's the Ultimates' roster look like, both PC and NPC?
So, what's the Ultimates' roster look like, both PC and NPC?
I think it's Cap, IM, Thor, Wondy, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Black Canary. There may be one or two more, but I know those seven are members.
Victor Von Doom was born in Latveria to a family of gypsies. Victor's people were tormented by the then Baron Vladimir at every turn. When the people could stand it no longer. Doom's mother, Cynthia turned to dark magic to solve her problem. She lost control of the demon, Trigon, and he seized her and took her to his fiery realm. Doom lost his father to the armies of "King" Vladimir years later.
Victor's life was in shambles. He used his skills in sorcery to infiltrate Vladimir's army, where he advanced his knowledge of technology and weaponry. His hard work garnered the attention of American soldiers stationed in the area and eventually he was offered a chance to attend school in the States on the government's dime. Victor traveled west. Saying goodbye to his lifelong love, Valeria.
Victor went to Metropolis where he attended school with such notables as Reed Richards, Ben Grimm, and Lex Luthor. Victor was at the top of his class and became bitter rivals with Richards and Luthor. His tenure there ended however when an experiment of his went horribly wrong.
Reed Richards saw Lex Luthor leaving Doom's dorm room when he decided to drop in on Victor. He discovered the room was empty but before he could leave he noticed a device Victor must have been working on. He examined the device and began to peruse some of the operational notes when Victor stormed into the room demanding to know why Richards was in his dorm.
Reed explained that it was a mistake but insisted that Doom recheck his figures because he had noticed a problem. A problem Doom dismissed due to the circumstances. That and the fact that Richards was jealous of his work.
Doom rushed his efforts and finally devised a way to contact his mother and free her from Trigon's hold. But the machine blew up in his face instead, scarring him.
Doom was expelled from the University and deported from the country. Upon returning to Latveria, he was faced with the evolving realities of his home country. A country ripe with corruption and tyranny. A reign of genocide and ethnic cleansing. Doom had had enough.
Doom was powerful but he needed more. He needed to temper the steel of his character. A vision of his mother and the last words of dying monk would be the sign he needed. He traveled to the Himalayas to find a temple of destiny. A temple that would make him into the Master he'd hoped for. There he struggled to survive and when he arrived he learned all that they could teach. Eventually he emerged from his cocoon. He was Victor Von Doom no longer.
He was Doctor Doom.
He returned to Latveria as a whisper amongst the peasants. He could have simply flew to Vladimir's castle but he advanced slowly. A campaign of the people. And when the congregation arrived at the throne, Doom took power. Doctor Doom threw the dead form of King Vladimir from the ramparts of the castle and flew his flag from the tower.
Are we waiting on anything in particular to move the stuff with Annihilus forward? Let's get a move on, I got a character I need to return to his proper universe!
I was going to post this app in the 'Nuff Said game but it keeps pissing me off having to go to a different board rather than just bring this section up so I'll do it in this game instead.
Wait. Why does that piss you off?![]()
I don't know if I can approve you, OP. This third character is another Marvel one. I thought that if you had three characters, you had to have at least one DC one if the other two were Marvel, and vice versa.
I don't know. I'll let Carnage make a ruling.
Now, I can see making it so you can't have 3 premium characters at a time (i.e. Me applying for Flash, when I already have Superman and Joker). I can see wanting to let the big stars be spread out more among the players and not letting one person hog a trifecta of them.
Because the RPG section is bookmarked on Chrome so when I bring up a window I click on it and the RPG forum opens right up. I can barely tolerate the rest of the board. The Marvel one is off to the side. It's the epitome of internet laziness to have to dig it out.

One Earth: The Marvel/DC RPG
Character you would like to play: Baron Karl Amadeus Mordo
Powers: Baron Mordo has vast magical abilities derived from his years of studying black magic and the mystic arts. He can manipulate magical forces for a variety of effects, including hypnotism, mesmerism, thought-casting, and illusion casting. He can separate his astral form from his body, allowing him to become intangible and invisible to most beings. He can project deadly force blasts using magic, can teleport inter-dimensionally, and can manipulate many forms of magical energy. He can tap extra-dimensional energy by invoking entities or objects of power existing in dimensions tangential to Earth's through the recitation of spells. He can also summon demons, but often does not have enough power to force them to do what he wants them to do.
Baron Mordo has some knowledge of a karate-like martial art form, and has an extensive knowledge of magical lore.
Brief history of the character:Originally a Transylvanian nobleman (born in Varf Mandra), Mordo became a student of the Tibetan sorcerer known as the Ancient One. When Mordo plotted to kill his teacher, the Ancient One's visitor, Dr. Stephen Strange learned of the plot, forcing Mordo to cast restraining spells to prevent him from warning his master or attacking him. When Strange selflessly decided to accept the Ancient One's offer to learn magic in order to help the old man, the Ancient One freed him from those spells, which he was fully aware were in place, and trained him as a formidable enemy of Mordo. Eventually Mordo was exiled by the Ancient One. Mordo's abilities were similar to those of Doctor Strange, but Mordo was particularly skilled at astral projection and hypnosis, as well as mesmerism. He was more than willing to use powerful black magic and invoke demons, both of which Strange was reluctant or unable to do, although both acts would sometimes backfire on Mordo.
List a few reasons why you have chosen that character: This game needs villains and so far as I know, Mordo has never ever been played as an IC character in any of the games. I also have what I hope is going to turn out to be a brilliant arc that will effect the whole OE Universe!
What are your plans with this character? Do you have a story: I do have a story, though I'm hesistant to reveal it all in a mere application.
Color and font you plan on using for your character's speech: Georgia. Green.
How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: Probably every few days.
Please provide a sample post with original content in the style that you plan to write your character in (must be at least 3 paragraphs long and contains at least 1 line of dialogue):
"Look at them. Milling around, living out their pathetic, meaningless lives. What purpose do they serve?"
"They are your people now. Their purpose is to serve you, my love".
In the deep shadow of Mount Wundagore, Baron Karl Amadeus Mordo turned from the large balcony overlooking his new home of Transia. Stood in the archway leading back into the castle stood his new lover and recent widow, Maria Russoff. She was wrapped in a silken shawl but even in the dim light her golden hair shined in almost ethereal light.
"You are truly a vision my dear" Mordo smiled, taking her hand and raising it to his lips. "A treasure that the late and unfortunate Gregor never truly appreciated".
Maria took her hand back and stepped past Mordo, moving to the balcony herself. Their was a gentle breeze carried from the mountain and on it the scent of a variety of flowers and plant life. She inhaled deeply and turned back to him. "Gregor was a good man, but a man of little imagination. But you, my Baron, you are a man of rare brilliance. You're ideas, your dreams, they are beautiful".
"Indeed?" Mordo asked, his arms slipping around her waist and head nuzzling into the crook of her neck. "Tell me more..."
Maria turned in his arms and ran a hand down his chest, looking up into dark eyes. "Later, when business is concluded. Your agent has returned and he has requested an audience with you".
"Ah, finally" Mordo grinned and moved towards the castle.
"What has he brought to you?" Maria asked, following him into the ancient building.
"The key to the universe itself" Mordo replied with a cold smirk.
