I like it too. He has a 'horn' and gets on all fours. So yeah, I'd say he resembles a Rhino just fine. Looks imposing too.
He's like a GIANT, MALICIOUS Canopener... but in a good way!

It wasn't the route I was expecting: IN FACT, a member here awhile back in the forum drew a picture of Giamatti in a oversized robotic suit like this months ago, and as much as I appreciated the design, I told him that Webb would NEVER go that route for Rhino. I was incorrect.
He looks like a real threat. For such a big character, a good acting name, and so far an imposing danger to Spiderman and the REST of New York, I hope his character won't be downplayed. I know his role will be small, but I hope it's a significant role that will affect the way Webb's story progresses. And it will be nice that he's signed on for a third film too!
That ALL being said, he's my selling point for this movie next to Chris Cooper as Norman. I can't wait to see more of him! And who knows! His arms have stars on his shoulder which indicates Russian origins: Perhaps at one point of the film as punishment possibly stealing/defacing Oscorp possession, they get a hold of him after his final confrontation, and begin to perform cross species genetics: Rhino-Human hybrid. Connors is a Lizard, Max Dillon's abilities and transfiguration derives from electric eels, I say why not!?!?
I can see the end credits scroll now: *Norman's voice after his Goblin transformation* "We have plans for you, Peter Parker..." *cue the Oscorp numbered doors opening sequence to reveal 5 members of the Sinister 6 coming out* *Fades out, to be concluded to next specified date*
