There was No Indication of when the trilogy took place except for magnro at begining of X-Men.It doesn't matter what a car and song were used In X2.
With Xavier and Magneto now established as being In mid to late twenties In 1962 that now reconns The trilogy as being In mid 1990's.
If Bryan Singer wants Peter Dinklage to play Boliver trask then that Is who he Is playing. He's not going to anything that Brett Ratner did In Last Stand to get In way of his vision.Especilly since that was a Trask In name only.No matter what people think of January Jones' performance First Class had better emma Frost than so called emma In
Origins.Bryan SInger Isn't ignoring origins or Last Stand but he has basiclly admitted he's not going to be salvisly bound to them as correcting some things means some reconning of things In Origins and Last Stand.
People should be more excited of Dinklage as villain putting him In league of Ian Mckellen,Brian Cox,and Michael Fassbender.
Uh it absolutely does matter what car and song were used in X2, and cell-phone, and other technology and the fact that it's set in the not too distant future. Dude, the trilogy is NOT set in the 90s no matter what way you try to look at it.
How does Xavier and Magneto being in their 20s in the 1960s have anything to do with when the OT is set? They're old and wrinkley and could be any age...
But this is...not the topic...
I'm real excited about Dinklage being a villain...don't think it's Trask though. Just how I don't think Senator Kelly will be the Senator being assassinated in the 70s.

Hoping MTV is correct. Dinklage as Trask is genius.
Hoping MTV is correct. Dinklage as Trask is genius.
This reminds me back In 2010 after kevin bacon was cast most assumed It was sinster untill one source said it was sebsastan Shaw(and MTV was dead wrong In calling Shaw a c Villain.True longtime X-Man fans know apart from Brotherhood Incarnations the X_Men greatest foes were Hellfire club) and It seems like It's similar here to where others assume others and them one source was tipped on truth.
Dinklage as Trask Is genius casting.Few are going to care that Brett Ratner
had someone named Trask In Last Stand.Especilly since It was changed to black
and his first name wasn't mentioned and no Indication of his being scientist.
It seems to me Bryan Singer Is tweaking the DOFP story so Trask who deigned the sentinles Is target of Brotherhood or was killed originally In
Brotherhood attack on government.
Assuming no CGI trickary Is involved having Dinklage play face of antimutants
In DOFP Is bold and great choice by Bryan.Plus Dinklage Is an award winning actor.Plus It's smart to actully get creator of sentinles Into film.
I think it's ridiculous. No one will notice Trask was already in a movie Singer has stated a few times he's not ignoring? Yeah they made him black...and that's worse to the source material than making him a dwarf? I love Dinklage, but casting him as Trask is just another continuity issue in a whole mess of them.
If true, I think Trask will work for the goverment but in the shadows.
With an actual senator/politician as the target of Magneto.
this way, we'll have a pretty fine roster of characters on the 70's from the human side: Nixon, the politician and Trask.
This is an EPIC movie, according to Singer, so the political aspect of the 70's would need a decent number of characters. not just Nixon and Trask.
Is M.O.D.O.K. too out of left field for character possibility?
