The bigger text is way better. My only problem, and this is a nitpick, is that they have two PlayStation Store icons in the Games and PlayStation Network sections. That's really stupid.
Grrr I ran into that Uncharted 3.0 freezing problem. I was just getting into the game (freaking amazing) and everything but now I basically can't even play it right now. Hopefully they fix it sooner than later.
Sony Looking Into Firmware 3.0 Issues
Company hopes to have a solution as soon as possible.
September 4, 2009 - PlayStation 3 owners who recently downloaded the newest 3.0 firmware update may have run into a few software issues, particularly with Naughty Dog's Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Plenty of users are reporting the game is now freezing periodically and reached an unplayable state.
But don't worry, fans. Sony recognizes there is an issue and hopes to have a solution for you soon.
"SCEA is aware of reports that PS3 owners are experiencing isolated issues with their PS3 system since installing the most recent system software update (v3.00)," said Patrick Seybold, Sr. Communications Director at SCEA, on the official blog.
"Rest assured that we are looking into the matter and will provide an update here as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience, as it's our mission to deliver the best consumer experience on all PlayStation platforms."
They have 3 icons. I just noticed another one in the Video section when I was trying to look at some clipsThe bigger text is way better. My only problem, and this is a nitpick, is that they have two PlayStation Store icons in the Games and PlayStation Network sections. That's really stupid.
The Uk addition of the BBC iplayer into the menu screen is GENIUS! now i dont have to sit upstairs to watch the shows i missed on my pc, i can do it on my tv downstairs now!
Another nice feature that was added with 3.0 is the fact that it supports dual audio outputs. For example, in my scenario, I can't watch movies or play games all the time in surround sound, and if I do want to watch with surround on, then I would have to go to the sound options and select the digital out. I have it connected to my TV with an HDMI cable, and an optical cable for surround. Now I don't have to go to the sound options, just to select the digital out selection, they have added Dual Audio Out. I believe that's what it is called, as I am at work and can't remember right off the top of my head. It was so annoying when I would forget to switch the audio options when I wanted to play a game and I had just got done watching a movie in surround, and so I would have to wait for the game to boot up, and then exit.![]()
t:, way to go SONY!Hate to tell you but iPlayer has been on PS3 for almost a year now.

As promised, Sony has released a new firmware to fix the problems that the 3.0 firmware update caused for many PS3 owners. The update is not a mandatory update and will not kick you off an online session or require you to update your system. This is purely your choice.
Whether this new patch fixes any other problems or adds in new content hasn't been discovered, yet. It's safe to assume it'll only fix the previous freeze problems and glitches that the 3.0 firmware caused three weeks ago. You may want to update just to be on the safe side, but it's up to you.
A document has been leaked saying that Sony intends to emulate PS2 games and sell them on PSN along with Dreamcast games

I think they wanted people to have fun and ejoy the show since all dead players can talk to each other no matter what team you are on. But I will suggest it anyway. Not to mention that the next PS3 firmware update is going to allow cross game chat. So if players use that instead of in game communication then they would also be able to communicate enemies positions.
whats the point? You can already access Facebook on your PS3One rumor is posting that Facebook will be included in next Firmware update:
