Sequels PRETEND! It's a restart, name your dream CAST/DIRECTOR/COMPOSER

Clark/Superman - Chris Klein
Lois Lane - Zooey Deschanel
Jimmy - Justin Berfield
Perry White - James Caan
Lex - Billy Zane

LOL

I could see Billy Zane as Lex. He might even be a better fit for the part than Spacey.

Director: Ratner
Supes/Kal-El/Clark: Paul Reubens
Lois: Beyonce
Jimmy Olsen: Mel Gibson
Perry White: Johnny Depp
Jason El: Olsen twins

Are you like, special or something?

I don't know about him but that cast sure does seem "special"...

You know when the American Pie movie came out I thought Chris Klein was perfect for the role, and all he had to do was get a bigger but I dont know if he was ever even in the running.
He would have been a decent choice...

I'd have to do a lot of research before I casted, but for now, I just made this. It's my unrealistic dream (I don't know which color I like better):

At first I thought the same but you need to get an actor who can be both Superman and CK. Nick Cage, whose eyes would be a dead giveaway when he's CK is a good example - no matter how good the actor is they need a "blend in the crowd" look and Nick Cage does not have that look. (Reeve did and even more so IMO Routh - does). Klein does not. His eyes are too distinctive and would be apparent to any one (even in a world where suspension of disbelief occurs) .

It's funny,...fifteen years ago Billy Zane would've been,...no,.... was considered for roles like Superman himself. Now he's been re-categorized to the older villainous type role. Time flies. We're all getting older.

Hell, I hardly see Billy Zane anymore. Seems like he's been relegated to direct to DVD crap. What the Hell happened? Was it his villainous role in Titanic? Is that what ruined him? Or was it that he decided to go bald?

I thought he was good in "The Phantom" even if the movie itself did not live up to its ambitions. He looked like he could have been Bruce Wayne/Batman.

if it was a restart, i think James Lafferty from One Tree Hill is a good candidate for the role of kal-el

Billy Zane was never a good choice imo. Just isn't interesting enough to watch on screen. EH

Oh, perfect cast/director and such...hmmm...let me ponder...

Brandon Routh: Superman
Kevin Spacey: Lex Luthor (but lose the goofyness)
Jim Caviezel: Jor-El
Kate Beckinsale / Erica Durance (if younger): Lois

Alright, I'm ready to give it a shot. Folks, this cast may look a bit overstacked, I know. However, what I was going for was the old Donner method of surrounding the two main characters with established stars.

The story outline I am writing contains both Brainiac and Zod (a complex, 'butting heads' if you will, team up) as the main villains. Lex becomes involved of course, but I'll post a story outline if I finish it.

Director: Peter Jackson
----For this fantasy epic, he's my number one choice right above Zemeckis.

Superman/Clark Kent: Michael Trucco
----I'd have to see screen tests first, but based on what I've seen in his television acting maybe, just maybe he could pull it off.

Lois Lane: Mary Elizabeth Winstead
----Again, I'd have to see her actually acting as Lois Lane before I would cast her.

Lex Luthor: Hugh Laurie
----I think he could do a sinister Lex, which would fit my story perfectly. Hugh is a very talented actor and based on his performance in House, I'd rather cast him as a villain.

Brainiac: John C. McGinley
----McGinley, better known for his role as Dr. Perry Cox in the drama/comedy hybrid Scrubs. I've seen him bald ("Stealing Harvard), and he's got the look. With his physique he looks like he could hold his own in a fight. That coupled with his amazing acting (watch the Scrubs episodes "My Screwup" and "My Lunch" to see what I'm talking about) fit him in this role.

General Zod: Hugh Jackman
----It was late and I was actually watching "The Prestige" on DVD and just threw out this possibly left field casting choice for Zod. Anyone else want to see Jackman fight Superman on the big screen? Maybe I'm alone in this...

Jor El: Geoffrey Rush
----I know Anthony Hopkins pops up a lot, but I just think Geoffrey's got that wise older man look down. Plus, the voice, in my opinion, would be flawless.

And my finalized poster (no actor names, there's too darn many):

Well...the cast...

The same of Superman Returns minus Bosworth. Replace her with Evangeline Lily or any other capable actress. Bosworth is no Lois Lane.

Director: Robert Zemeckys, Steven Spielberg or Peter Jackson

Writer: Paul Dini or Jeph Loeb

Now that would be THE Superman movie.

I agree. Those are good choices but maybe a screenwriter too.

The cast was all good, except Bosworth, I just hated her.

Man of Steel
Director(s) - Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg.

Superman/Clark Kent - Jamie Bamber
Lois Lane - Rachel Mcadams
Brainiac - Hugo Weaving
Lex Luthor - Lawrence Fishburne
Perry White - Ed Harris
Zod - Sean Bean.
Jimmy Olsen - Shia LaBeouf
Jonathan Kent - Mel Gibson
Martha Kent - Annette otoole

composer - John Williams.

:wow: Did you actually think before doing this or did you just pick random names, Jamie Bamber has a decent build and strong jaw line but doesnt have the height for superman.Although not come to think about it his character on BSG is a do gooder so he might do.

I've got no beef with anyone except Bosworth... Gotta Go
Lois - Rachel McAdams
everyone else is dead on!

(People, stop putting these gay looking guys and suggesting as Superman)

Donald Standen and the Sam Heughan guy... they just don't peg me for Superman...

if it was a restart, i think James Lafferty from One Tree Hill is a good candidate for the role of kal-el

way to young
he should of been casted in smallville, as superboy, then Welling could of been saved for superman in the movie

If it was a restart, I'd want the Wachowski Brothers to direct, with maybe Geoff Johns, Mark Waid, and David Hayter assisting in the writing of the script.

Robert Zemeckis could do a good job if he could get the hell out of his little mo-cap bubble.

Ottman ain't that good, get Alan Silvestri or Howard Shore to compose

Hire some competent writers, get Bob Gale, and get people like Alex Ross to be project consultant.

Oh, and most of all, a great director who can balance action, romance, story, style, and substance to the film.

Just wish WB had done these few things.

Let's get Matthew Vaugh (Layer Cake) to direct "Superman."
