Prometheus - Part 6

No doubt. Anytime someone is dying horribly or something truly disturbing is happening to the beat of some cheery song it tends to increase the overall uncomfortable feeling. It has to be pulled off just right, but if done properly it is great.
Definitely.

Why does the SJ from Alien look soooo much bigger?
I agree. Its an enormous Elephant looking thing.
Are we to believe this 7 foot dude is the enormous 15 foot fat Elephant Jockey from Alien?
Just a 7 foot dude with an Elephant mask?
The trailers also have these giant engineers at different scales.
Hmmm
makes me want to see it more...

I think some of the more "cheery" beats will be in stark contrast with the footage actually playing out on screen. I actually find that idea incredibly disturbing and awesome.

That works very well. It's almost like reading a Bret Easton Ellis book. You're reading a horrific murder in American Psycho or Glamorama and it's being told in this sparse, affectless prose. It's almost a blank canvas for the horror to be splattered on.

No! No more spoilers for me. This movie is coming out too soon to spoiler it for me :O

Spare my ignorance but what is the release date for this in the US?

Heh, not the first time it's been done. :woot:

Speaking of which, if an Evangelion movie were ever made, Ridley Scott would be perfect for it. He has this subdued quality about his filming that reminds me of the tone of the series series. Also, the way he gives his main character's arcs, developing them by putting them through some pretty messed up stuff, reminds me a lot of Evangelion. And Ridley Scott knows how to do messed up very well.

Throw in Weta Workshop and Weta Digital for the sets and the Evas and Angels, and voila.

Anyways, though, back on topic.

Honestly, I think I'm in love with Noomi Rapace just by watching this viral. I thought she was amazing in TGWTDT, but in this viral she is so expressive and acted with such emotions that I can't help but falling head over heels for her. :hrt: After The Avengers's debut, I think Prometheus has overtaken TDKR as my next most anticipated movie of the summer.

Here's the video in embedded format:

There's something about her cheekbones that I can never tear my eyes away from. :o

Damon Lindelof Talks Prometheus and Prequels

Loved this video. Damon Lindelof seems to know what he's talking about.

I also liked how he doesn't want to diminish the importance of A L I E N by making this film, and how he wants keep some of those great mysteries from that film intact, so as not to ruin that film.

Rapace would have made a killer Catwoman.

I think she would've been a great Black Widow, even though I love ScarJo's performance. She even has a bit of an accent which could be more persuasive of her past as a former Russian spy.

I think she'd make a great Batman.

Hmmmmm.. what great mysteries does the original ALIEN movie hold? And why not reveal them, eventually I mean? To build up to the next sequel/s.

No sense in keeping those secrets close to the chest just to maintain a mystique.

Rapace is gorgeous those eyes!!
If i was
Weyland I would have definitely funded the mission too

If you're going by that logic, would you be giving grants to Sasha Grey too?

Thin about it. She's played characters who've;

1. Enternalized extreme emotional pain stemming from a traumatic event from childhood.
2. Prefer to wear black.
3. Sleeps with random women.
4. Has a strong sense of justice.
5. Has no problem watching bad people die even though she could have easily saved them.

That's Batman.
