This movie is already better than Alien 3 and Ressurection.

I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss Alien3 and Resurrection in favor of the prequel.
AFAIC I will wait the trailers, TV clips AND see the film to judge it next to the other Alien movie.

The fact that Ridley Scott is behind this and has this cast, I don't even have to imagine the film and footage. I jist have to think of these two facts and I like them better already.

I get what you're saying though.

lets not forget the Kingdom of heaven situation. Scott is old and has no balls. if Fox forces him to edit the movie he will do it.
what we know for sure is that Scott has more talent and better actors. one of the best right now.

Negative Nancy over here.

Yeah dark_b has this strange obsession with Scott's balls. He's mentioned them several times in the past.

What I really hope for from this film is a sense of being left feeling uncomfortable or made uncomfortable during seeing it.

I think a lot of films have left that out these days and specially with CG you just don't feel afraid/awkward. Hopefully Scott will push this side of the film.

I have no doubt this will be better than Alien 3 and AR. Ridley Scott directing a script by Lindelof that got him excited to return to the genre after nearly 30 years starring Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender as the leads? That is a recipe for awesome.

As someone who loves Alien 3, I hope Prometheus sheets all over it.

With Ridley Scott's return to the franchise (sort of) and Singer's semi-comeback to the X-Men franchise, I really really really want to see James Cameron cut the **** with all this Avatar nonsense and return Terminator to its former glory.

Remember the last time some big filmmaker got lost in Special Effects? Yeah I think that was... LUCAS!

Avatar was basically a Star Wars Prequel anyway. Visually stunning, terrible script, horrible dialogue, boring lead performances, enjoyable supporting performances, great action.

I have no idea who I would want to see doing a Terminator movie though.

I should be the one doing the Terminator movie...

Yeah, Avatar is totally light weight in every aspect. Simple. Formulaic. This film had Sigourney Weaver and you didn't even remember it after the whole thing ended.

Neill Blomkamp. :o:up:

I dont think I'd go as far as saying any of the SW prequels were visually stunning, though. For the most part, I thought the CG work was so overdone that it ended up looking pretty lame IMO.

With music by Bear McCreary. :o:up::up:

Love the way you think, but just ain't gonna happen.

Dude, his music for the show was not that great. I feel Elfman didn't get the respect he deserved for his TS score (which ended up being better than the movie).

Have you even listened to McCreary's BSG work. If not, get your ass in gear. :cmad:

And his music for TSCC was fine. :o
