After the already discussed issue, we need to know what the fans want, so here is the needed poll.

What do you preffer... Joss directing?, writing?, both? none?...

Time for vote.

Only 5 votes? where is the rest of the users?

This is the last stand! If your with Whedon, be with Whedon! hahahah.

No, now seriously, would be nice to see what the majority wants.

I voted All for Whedon. I'd give him a chance. He knows the x-men, has a series and has being acclaimed for it, and many people love his Tv series, and also Serenity movie, so I think he is a good candidate and deserves a chance. If Ratner had one, he deserves that and more.

I don't really want him involved. I don't like Astonishing and I don't like the majority of what he creates.

I'm a fan of the Astonishing X-men and I think that it would be a great idea if Whedon will write & direct an X-men movie.

Reading Astonishing and watching his writer/director efforts in Serenity makes me very, VERY warm for him to direct.

No. Because Whedon already had his chance at the movie-verse in X1. I know some of you may recall, "Do you know what happens when..." which turned out to be one of the worst lines in all of film history. Yea, that was his brain-child. Can you imagine 2 hrs of dialog like that?

Oh HELLS nah!

Whedon certainly doesn't inspire when it comes to Storm. Storm is not a character who should be sprouting off whitty one liners. The Toad line indicates that.

I like Whedon and his work, but I'm not sure if the current X Films are for him.

"I, Storm, mistress of the elements, command you to release that child!" :xmen: :D

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

For me there are worse lines than that Storm one from X1, like Juggernaut in X3.

Don't understand how a movie could has a script full of that kind of lines... He'd give us emotional scenes too, dramatic dialogues, so...

Hahaha. I always liked that and Rogue's response.

''You gotta lighten up on the speeches, sugah."

For those who complain about the Storm line, you should really look back to the 90's animated series again. Storm in that series had so many bad lines--PER EPISODE--that it wasn't funny. Well, maybe a little.

"THUNDERING WIND, HEAR MY CRY!!!" Basically the jist of her diologue whilst using her powers.

Yeah. Very few people know how to do Storm without cheesing her up. It wasn't until after I started reading the books because of the TAS that I grew to like her.

If it was up to the TAS alone then Rogue would probably be higher than Storm in my books.

Is it bad that I love 90's TAS Storm?:oldrazz: That's what introduced me to the character and is probably my favorite version of the character ever produced!! Movie Storm was lackluster in the end, Evolution Storm was okay but misused, and I was never one for reading the comics because well....I was never one for reading PERIOD, lol!!! While her one liners were cheesy during most of the series, Storm was always strong-willed, motherly, classy, compassionate, and always concerned for others which I always loved about the character!!!:woot:

i don't want whedon

all of a sudden all the characters will be pop culture experts, with one-liner ping-pong dialogue, starring kitty pryde and her x-men

:down

what would you preffer? Ratner, Kinberg & Penn again?

Whedon shouldn't be bundled in with Ratner. Whedon created 3 of the best damn shows to ever grace TV, so his style might not fit all the X-Men in the films. Sooo what, just don't put him in the same director's ball with Ratner and Lord Singer ()

Don't like Buffy, didn't like Serenity, Astonishing is good but has too much Kitty-Buffy going on....

So, it's a no.

If you want intimate and moody get Singer back, if you want dark but more comicbooky get Burton, if you want bright and flashy get Ratner back, if you want epic get Jackson, if you want visually stunning at a stunningly low budget get Snyder.

I like the thriller style of Bourne Identity and Casino Royale, so their directors could be good too.

I don't want Whedon in any X-Movie, maybe he could work in a X-Men tv show, but I don't think so. I don't like Buffy or Angel and I hate Serenity, I think he's one of the most overated writers/directors around, so no, I wouldn't want him near this.

I voted for yes. Love Astonishing X-Men, and that's all I know from him.

Just please, please, not a cat-head McCoy. Eek.

Curious to know... why do people hat/dislike AstXM?

For one, I don't dislike it, I just think it's too overated. Nothing really good has been really happening in the title since the cure storyline (Danger was bad, Torn was ok but really predictable, and Unstoppable is going ok, but not a lot has happened either). The art is really amazing though, Cassaday is really good.

That and the delays are killing this book for me

Yes it would be good for him to do it. Both write and direct that is. However the time is not right for that. We will not see another Xmen film for a long time not untill the Superhero Hype has blown over and we get a chance to start fresh. IMO the only Supe films done right so far are Spidey & Hulk maybe F4 Silver Surfer but I have not seen that yet.

Well, after these last weeks, we can say now that a mayority wants Whedon, at least here in the superherohype boards.

Nice to know it. Let's hope Fox knows this one day, and if is soon, much better.
