Endgame Qs/ things you liked/disliked/wanted to see in Endgame [SPOILERS]

haha I think that's looking too deep into it.
I mean I agree with what you're saying and it makes perfect sense. But like who cares? That's not anything we needed explored. Like that's a nitpick nitpick

Not really a nitpick. It's just that the snap raises all kinds of interesting philosophical questions which are good to explore. They make good talking points. It's the same as when people talk about something hypothetical like time travel and all the issues it raises.

Even though I can’t think of where I would have put it I would have loved to see a scene of Cap giving the Soul Stone back to Red Skull.

It wouldn’t have made sense at that time of the movie but I think it would have been awesome to see a Steve and a new cosmically enlightened Red Skull have one last interaction.

I'm not sure if "enlightenment" is necessarily the right word for Red Skull. Sure, he seems to be reconciled with his state, but. . . well, from his perspective, visitors come in two varieties. People who love nothing, can sacrifice nothing, and so are left as helpless as he was to fulfill his desire; and people who do love something, and are able to sacrifice it, and get the Soul Stone and a heart filled with pain. Either would fill a spiteful heart with glee, even if he is still trapped there.

( There might theoretically be a third category: those able and willing to do something stupid that gets *them* stuck there doing the job he is doing, thus allowing Johann to either walk free or die. )

I can hand wave away any question of the way all those dusted AND those that died because of the dusted disappearing came back as being part of the intention of the Gauntlet's user. Unless they specify differently I can easily assume Tony Stark's incredibly disciplined mind and emotional investment in undoing the snap made the outcome as optimal as it possibly could be.

I think the Skull's fate in the Prime timeline could be great grist for the mill of drama especially if we learn that he was returned to Earth. It would be a great thing to explore in the Falcon and Bucky show.

Professor Hulk undid the snapture. Tony Stark snapped the Thanos army before Thanos could snap all life for a total Genesis of life anew

This is more of a question regarding the reaction as opposed to the film itself, but I've seen it commented/complained about frequently that they didn't like how Captain Marvel kicked Thanos' ass and made him look like a joke. Did they watch the same movie I did? Thanos won that fight when he hit her with the Power Gem. It was Scarlet Witch that would have easily killed him had his ship not saved him.

As for what I didn't like: Tony dying. I was afraid of that when Strange saved him in the last film by giving up the Time Gem, but I was always hoping I was wrong. He's my favorite character in these films (and the comics for that matter), so it was tough.

The thing I liked the most was Thor. He absolutely stole the show in this one. And I loved seeing him join the GOTG. I really hope he is on the team in GOTG3. He has better chemistry with them than he ever did The Avengers.

The final battle felt really short and rushed. I was expecting a sweeping shot like they did in the first two Avengers movies. I like how the overall movie tried to establish the story, but I think an extra five minutes of final battle would not have hurt.

I wanted to see Maria Hill and Nick Fury in the final battle too, even just a short cameo lol

I guess the complaint is that Thanos needed the power stone to beat her. I think she’s way too overpowered myself. It will make giving her a real conflict difficult unless they do some cheap gimmick of stripping her of her powers.

Ditto. The power stone was a convenient fluke.

Speculation time, how strong is she really? I'm thinking twice as strong as Hulk, considering how well she took Thanos' punch.

Even though I love Rocket. He's my favorite Guardian. I think I would've preferred him to get dusted and Nick Fury would've been in the movie in his place.

I said it in another thread, prerelease I thought the only heroes that should've survived the snap were the characters introduced in Phase 1. I kinda got why Nebula was there with the Thanos connection. I got why Ant-Man was there to introduce the rumored time travel element with the quantum realm. And I assumed Cap Marvel would be a big part of defeating Thanos once and for all. But I never knew why Rocket was there.

But now after I've seen the movie I think both Rocket and Carol should've died with the snap.
Carol might as well have since they wrote out of the rest of the movie after the first like 10-15 minutes and she had like 1 interesting character interaction. They could've just found another way for Stark and Nebula to get back to Earth. Then have her come back with all the other heroes when they're revived for her badass moments.
Rocket, again I love him, but I just think it would've been more fitting for Nick Fury. 1) We've been with him for 11 years. He was introduced in Phase 1. 2) He has a large connection with Stark, Cap, Widow, Hawkeye, and Banner. He recruited all of them to Avengers, SHIELD, or both. 3) We already had a connection to GOTG with Nebula 4) And honestly it gives Nick Fury something to do. Other than CM, I feel like they don't know what to do with the character post TWS. He has a thankless role in AoU (which honestly could've been given to Maria Hill). Adding him to the culmination of 11 years, which he was in the very early beginnings of would've been good

TL; DR: Nick Fury should've been a member of the surviving heroes, not Rocket

The Black Order is dead.

and there is no crying emoticon.

Having Nick Fury would be fine for another movie. But if this is going to be such a massive Marvel movie, they probably wanted some mascot type creature to give broader appeal. Otherwise it's just all humans and a serious cybernetic woman. It would be like having Star Wars with no droids or furry creatures like Chewbacca.

...why wouldn't he?

He comes back to Earth for the first time in 30+ years. We assume he loves his grandfather, we don't get any evidence to say he doesn't. Why wouldn't he look for him?

Dude's been traveling on a spaceship for years. If he gave a rat's patoot, he could have come back at any time to see him. Clearly not a priority for him.

Not a priority but he's there now. He was literally on the planet.

I think we can all agree that there are interactions we would have liked to have seen that we didn't get.

If the movie had only been 2 hours and 10 minutes we might have a firmer leg to stand on. At 3 hours with little to no wasted time, they were pretty maxed out on what they could include.

They can go back and film some extra scenes for an extended cut, since the box office has now more than covered the cost of the movie.

I think they were two other practical reasons for having Rocket.

1. To have someone around who can fly the Milano, meaning either Rocket or Quill had to survive.
2. To continue to build the Thor/Rocket companionship setting up Thor joining the GOTG at the end of the movie.

Didn't think of those
