If you do like the character, I can't imagine that you're enjoying the current storyline, so it would be a non-issue.

So was it a good story? No. Am I glad they did it? Absolutely.
Regarding the Clone Saga:
How am I supposed to interpret that?
I know a lot of people read Spider-man but my point is it's one character. I won't chase my post around defending it to the death but Spider-man is one character. And either you can go back to your trades or issues and read them again and enjoy or you can't. Nothing about One More Day entails that Spider-Man will can no longer be enjoyable.
And in general I'm tired of hearing people acting like Quesada is this evil man when he has done some great things. Spider-Man's success has always and will always depend on one thing-- not Mary Jane (being married to him), not Harry, but good stories.
Doom-I don't think Joe is evil but he has screwed up a lot of history. And to say Spiderman is just one character speaks volumes because he touches every other character in Marvel. So you change 20 years of Spiderman's mythos then you change 20 years of Marvel History. There is no Clone Saga (which is a good thing) there is no rebirth of Spiderman, there is no Iron Spider and that just in the Spiderman arena. What about the New Avengers and Avengers, or prime example the "Iron" Scarlet Spiders in Initiative. I know there is more examples but this is just one character--This is the Marvel Universe. What else will be undone?
Because I don't.
Look, I know when someone's trying to box me in to some sort of logic Rubik's Cube. I didn't like the marriage. I think it limits storytelling. Most of what JQ was saying in those interviews, I've agreed with for a long time. So do I like how they got there, not completely, but I'm still happy with the result.
Peter went to live somewhere else and changed his name to Ben Reilly. HOW that escaped Tony Stark is beyond most of us, given that Stark would be running names on all known family members (living and dead)and their living quarters, and be doing some door knocking. Granted there's probably tons of people named that. But it'd be mighty odd to have Ben Reilly deceased, but there's one who recently got an apartment so close to the event, when Pete had a family member named that.
We've got great books right now such as... Cable & Deadpool
much like the president catches flak for a lot of stuff that didn't necessarily have a lot to do with him.
PJ, do you ever have actual discussions with people, or do you only look for clever ways to poke and insult them? Wake me up when you have a real question that you'd like a real answer to.
