Hi guys sorry for stating a new thread, but I couldn't find the old one. There had been some rumours about Robin Williams starring in the movie as he Joker. But I see him more as the Penquin. I actually think you would be a great Penquin. I think a reason why people are sceptical of him is because we tend to think of him as comedian instead of a great actor, but let's not forget ,that this man has won an OSCAR and have been nominated several times. I found a couple photos that could represent a scene in the movie.

I like him, but not as The Penguin.

It would be interesting to see. I don't think Williams would be a bad choice actually for Cobblepot/Penguin. It would be a smaller role for him, but he might be able to disappear as Cobblepot. I can see him do a subtle, yet demanding British Arms dealer mob boss.

He'd probably take it just so he could be in a Batman film.

That's actually not a bad idea - he could pull it off..............

He would bring to the Penguin something different from DaVito's performance. If they do Penguin, I can think of noone else who could play that role.

.

Ah, jeez. Not Williams again...

He could pull it off. And I'm sure he'd leap at the chance since he's a fan. He could play the Riddler too.

or the Ventriliquist/Scarface! Williams can do it all.....

Hell no... why are we still debating about this... if they can't get Hoffman you take Spall... Penguin is British... let's not go crazy here... its an extended cameo

Yeah, I can see him in the role. He would probably take it anyways. Then he would scowl at Ledger off cameras.

I dislike the idea of Spall - Williams ranks above him in my book.

You know what?
Robin Williams as Joker? Glad he didn't get the part...
Robin Williams as Riddler in Burton's Batman 3? Not fitting...
Robin Williams as Riddler in Nolan's Batman? Hellyes.

Danny Devito?
NO!
He already was penguin.
It's going to remind people of Burton's universe.

Pengiun - Bob Hoskins

Robin Williams - Possibly the Riddler

Martin Short - The Mad Hatter (But thats a given)

Ron Perlman - Killer Croc (as stated on another thread)

Anthony Edwards - Victor Fries (especially if they used the sympathetic, wife in a glass tube, non-emotional, absolutley nothing like Schwarzenegger version.)

That photo is even kind of Riddler-esque. Very fitting for the current Nolan version.

Batman already does that. You can't wipe it away from people's minds.

I wouldn't mind Williams. He's interested in a part and it'd be a nice repayment for being bait to get Nicholson. I would cast him as mobster in the Falcone or Maroni family before Penguin.
