The Dark Knight Robin Williams as The Penquin

Nolan's casting choices so far have been nothing less than inspired, IMO. If he were to see Cobblepot/Penguin in Williams...I'd be interested in looking at the performance. There's no question that Williams has the acting chops to pull many roles off convincingly. Personally, even with some age...I think he'd make the perfect Riddler...crazy, off-the-wall...but in a scary way. Maybe the age thing would even work better...in what universe should all heros/villians be in the same age range?

This guy can do a "five year old" accent... not Penguin though

lol well theres that, and theres 1 hour photo robin williams. Hes an impressionist of sorts so an english accent wouldnt be out of the question. Jamie Foxx spoofed Ray Charles so much, he played him.

Thanks guys. I think he could pull it off under the right direction. No squawking ala Bergess Meredith.

Id tell robin to think classy and serious with the character. And definitely no squawking or long nose imo.

As ridler id tell him disturbed genius... he can play the silent nutcase quite good heh.

He looks the part, but I too want an actor who can both look, and portray the part...

You would get that from Williams.
Don't get me wrong, Robin is one of my favorite actors... I just don't see him as a Penguin....

Hi guys sorry for stating a new thread, but I couldn't find the old one. There had been some rumours about Robin Williams starring in the movie as he Joker. But I see him more as the Penquin. I actually think you would be a great Penquin. I think a reason why people are sceptical of him is because we tend to think of him as comedian instead of a great actor, but let's not forget ,that this man has won an OSCAR and have been nominated several times. I found a couple photos that could represent a scene in the movie.

hmmm...if they did penguin as the arms dealing rude rich guy like they did in THE BATMAN animated series that could have robin williams all over it. I like THE BATMAN's version of penguin the best.

Robin Williams, in a lot of respects, is an older version of Jim Carey. He can very easily go over the top, especially with the energetic comedy roles. However, I think he could do justice to both the Penguin or the Riddler. He knows when to calm it down. Good Will Hunting exhibited a great performance.

I don't think Williams is suitable for the Penguin. Philip Seymour Hoffman is a much better choice IMO.

Williams just doesn't seem like Penguin material to me. Funny, because I remember back in 1994 he was rumoured to be playing the Riddler in Batman Forever.

all these guys are way to tall and to skinny to play Penguin.

Too bad he's off to Rehab. Hoffman for Pengie DAMNIT!
