Lets face it: As far this movie is a mixed bag and the early consense about the movie, the other critics will follow the voice. Even just to finally see a Marvel movie fail.

Some yeah, but there are a lot for all to be fake. I even read reactions from people here. Anyway, I was surprised, that's all.

Some yeah, but there are a lot for all to be fake. I even read reactions from people here. Anyway, I was surprised, that's all.

I dont doubt some reactions are legit, but to the best of my knowledge it hasn't been released anywhere

Even if it becomes rotten that doesn't mean that it will stay rotten, when it's all said and done.

According to Grace Randolph, the latest round of reviews were from additional press screenings Disney had to specifically try and get the RT score/overall reception to trend upwards.

That's probably not a great sign.

I stand by my view that its behaving like WW1984, but starting from a lower base score. I, personally, predict low 50's or high 40's to be where it ends up. I hope I'm wrong though.

That is what we call in the business bullcrap. This movie will be screened a lot of times before release. So it likely is from other screenings. But no one makes last minute screenings to boost a RT score. Doesn't happen. Bull to the crap

Its weird too, because this struck me as the sort of movie that might be loved by critics, but prove divisive among the general audience.

Yeah these reviews are a surprise. I’m still really looking forward to it but it would be a shocker if Marvel’s first rotten movie came from a director who JUST won an Oscar. But stranger things have happened.

Even if this becomes the first rotten Marvel film, it isn’t the end of the world. Even studios with track records as near perfect as Pixar have their misses critically(Cars 2 has a rotten score as low as 40%). With 13 years of generally well-reviewed movies, Marvel is more than allowed a critical miss. Marvel’s track record speaks for itself. They will bounce back from this and course correct and continue to get good reviews. This film will just be viewed as a rare misstep, and then mostly forgotten about(like Incredible Hulk).

Ang Lee's Hulk is 62% on rotten tomatoes and I believe he is the only other Oscar winning Director to helm a super hero movie. Maybe the style of these types of Directors are not a good fit for superhero movies.

Personally I never cared about the Eternals in the comics. I only wanted to see this movie for the Celestials.
