Down to 57%
Eternals somehow getting worse reviews than Venom 2 is the kind of sick joke that not even the Joker would find funny.
If it does go to 55%, it’ll get worse reviews than Man Of Steel(which currently sits at a 56%).It looks like its in the eternal rotten territory. I just hope it doesn't get lower than 55%.
Never. They are already accusing critics of being biased. They believe critics are less harsh on Eternals because they are scared of being shut out of marvel press screening. Will people now stop saying Disney pays off critics?
You know if anything, the fact that it took thirteen years for Marvel to get its first rotten score and end it’s fresh RT score is really a testament to the level of craft and quality control in making good films. I mean can you name a long running franchise that’s been running consecutively for thirteen years with over 20+ plus movies and not a single one of them (until now) has got a rotten score? You gotta hand it to Kevin Feige and co - that’s nothing short of impressive and kind of unprecedented. The only studio that I can think of with a similar track record is Pixar. It will drop below 55%, it's already at 57% with only half the reviews in.

Superman Returns has a 72 on metacritic, which is higher than some films like......
X-Men First Class
X-Men 2
The Avengers
Avengers Infinity War
Captain America The Winter Soldier
Gah, I really dislike Superman Returns. Critics were way too kind on it when it came out. Not even getting into it's other issues, it completely bungles Superman as a character.
Superman Returns isn't the best flick, but a POS? That's BvS, SS, Fan4stic. Superman Returns is pretty underwhelming, while being shot beautifully and having a rather brilliant score. So overall, it's pretty middle of the road, but I always liked it. But I also like most things Superman.Seriously. It was like critics just gave that POS film a thumbs up because Routh kinda sorta looked like Reeve and they played the Donner them 5 million times throughout. Never mind that Superman in SR didn’t have 1/10 the personality of Reeve and felt like a MacGuffin in his own movie.
Eh. I feel like they've had what I'd consider "rotten" movies. They just haven't been scored that way.You know if anything, the fact that it took thirteen years for Marvel to get its first rotten score and end it’s fresh RT score is really a testament to the level of craft and quality control in making good films. What a weird series of posts to say nothing. Now where have I said that Marvel Studios were bribing the Critics ? All I was pointing out was that Marvel movies by other Studios were not on same winning streak as 25 MCU movies, maybe that was due to their inconsistent quality.
MCU movies has some fanbase and goodwill which helps them to some extent.
Down 56%(with 153 reviews)
Outside of the music, I feel like the best nostalgia in SR is from the comics/old serials. Which honestly, it feels more like a sequel to then Donner's flick.Count me in the Superman Returns hate group. Everything good about that film was based on nostalgia from older movies. But you have to stand on your own as a movie, and that it did not.
Agreed......Eh. I feel like they've had what I'd consider "rotten" movies. They just haven't been scored that way.
Is the cast great?I'm really surprised this is rotten. With the cast and director they have, along with feige producing this should have knocked this out of the park.
Possible, but not likely. Is there a chance this goes below 50% now?
