Eternals Rotten Tomatoes watch thread

"Inconsequential" is the perfect word to describe Ant-Man and the Wasp. The most important thing that happened in that movie was the post-credits scene. What a ****ing joke.
It really is. They could have literally put the post-credit scene at the end of Captain Marvel or even as a teaser in front of another Disney movie, and nothing would have been lost.

We saw Wasp suited up and in action for a full movie instead of just one scene like with Pepper Potts in Iron Man 3, and yet Pepper mastered her suit in Endgame.

YIKES... suited up Wasp for a movie was indeed worthless. I've successfully debunked my attempt at defending a lousy movie in a single line.

Most of that 51% of critics who rated it fresh are mixed rather than outright liking it; a lot of the fresh reviews are still very and critical and negative of it as a film and considering it’s literally two percentage points away from being 49% with the possibility of it going down as more bad reviews keep coming I’m not sure the claim that most critics “like” Eternals is true. It’s average critics rating is 5.70. That isn’t good.

He is going by is the number not what type of review it is and that what folks see first and count the most.
Those mixed reviews you say is still counted as fresh and it's counted as most critics liking it.
Anyway it's at 50%,so half the critics who like it so far.
Translated to the star system that is-
2 1/2 is 5.0 to 5.4 - so/so

Eternals is true. It’s average critics rating is 5.70. That isn’t good.

This is the star system. You could see on the RT info.
2 1/2 is 5.0 to 5.4 - so/so
3 stars is a 5.5 to 6.4 - good
3 1/2 stars -6.5 to 7.4 -very good
4 stars-7.5 to 8.4 -great
4 1/2 stars 8.5 to 9.4 - really great
5 stars 9.5 to 10 -excellent

5.70 is 3 stars out 5.
That's good but not very good.

The movie is pretty much a critical failure no matter how you look at it. That 50% rating with a 44% from top critics isn’t good in my mind. That’s still rotten territory, and I really don’t think that 50% will last. When it’s all said and done, I think movie probably finishes in the mid to high 40’s. That’s pretty bad, dude.

Its 50/50 now.

Not really. There are more negative reviews than positive, which has been the case since this morning. With 61 of the most-recent 100 reviews being negative, the Tomato score will continue to drop down into the 40s. Time to accept this result.

I know this is a magical moment for everyone. :o

HOW IS THAT NOT THE FIRST ROTTEN MCU FILM?
Because of that charming rapscallion Paul Rudd.
I liked Ant-Man and the Wasp. Haters gonna hate!
I like it too but I can also recognize why so many people don't like it. It's without a doubt the most low-stakes MCU movie and not a lot happens in it. It doesn't even have a proper villain. I won't say it's inconsequential though because it does set up the time traveling aspect of Endgame.

tbh if you remove all the awful accents in BW, I would view it a lot more favorably

I edited your post to emphasize the amount of film (your words) to exposition (the gap in between) there is in that blah flick. You can tell which one was completely written by Reed and which one was influenced by an actual film talent.

Back to 50%. There's only one more negative review than a positive.

Ray Winstone for example.

I mean they all adapted perfect American accents while living in America. Why are they speaking in Russian accented English in each other's presence? Wouldn't they simply speak Russian?

I have a question, if you are a DCEU Snyder faithful, and you view Marvel as the enemy, does viewing a Rotten Tomato Meter for Eternals truly give you some quantum of solace now?

Is this truly your ultimate revenge? Does this truly make your life better as a Snyder faithful?

This does, indeed, appear to be the case.
