Drama Royal Pains

I feel what you're saying and you're right, Corp.

However, perhaps Eddie just doesn't find Evan intrisincly engaging as Hank is for whatever reason - it is an everyday reality within families. I mean Evan's really starting to mature alot in the 2nd season whereas at first, he was a goofy slacker.

Perhaps as time goes on, Evan can effectively expound upon his father his feelings of neglect and lack of admiration in a future ep to resolve one of many hurdles in this strained relationship. The writers have to string things along at a decent pace.

Also, guys, take this into account: Most times, the child that loved the hardest, reflects the same in contempt when you hurt him/her. Very true whether it's a child or spouse.

Perhaps Hank was a daddy's boy and Eddie R's past transgressions cut Hank the deepest. Eddie wants to desperately recapture an iota of what he once had with his older son.

When they were both on the couch watching the baseball game together sort of proves that.

Emily joining the Hank Med team, Evan should point out how the romance with Hank and Emily could mess up the company if something were to happen. It would never work. It's clear that Emily and Hank is never going to work out either way.

The show is all about Jill and Hank anyway as the OTP. I imagine though even if they were involved they would be able to run a free clinic or medical practice together just fine even if things didn't work out.

I'm sure they would be fine. They're already doing an admirable job of remaining friends in spite of their obvious affection for each other.

Summer. At any rate, I called it. :woot:

Just caught the finale on hulu. Good summer finale. They didn't really resolve the whole Emily thing. I guess Hank is still seeing her. I do wish they would just start the Hank and Jill relationship already. I really like Evan's girlfriend. Hopefully she sticks around. And the end scene with Boris and the Lawson family was great. Didn't realize just how deep Eddie was in! Good cliffhanger until the show comes back in January.

I'd be funny for in the opening of the January opener Winkler gets up and says, "Gotcha!"

hank and Jill will continue to be on and off until the end of the series.

That's how it is with these shows. Take Fiona and Mike in Burn Notice, same thing.

Fiona and Mike seem pretty committed, actually. Their relationship is always under some level of strain because Mike keeps getting deeper and deeper into the spy games while she just wants him to sit back and enjoy the life he has, but it is exactly that: a relationship.

Man, you should watch Burn Notice. What are you, some kind of Aziz Ansari wannabe? :oldrazz:

Never saw Las Vegas and Cinnabon gives me a toothache. Way too sweet for my tastes.

But I loves me some Burn Notice.

Summer. At any rate, I called it. :woot:
Yeah, I just saw the summer season finale on USA On Demand last night and I came here to give you your props. You did indeed call it with Eddie R.

It will be interesting to see just where this angle goes. What do the feds exactly want with Boris? Of was Eddie's deal a desperate plea to buy time and find something on Boris?

Well, we do know Boris engages in a few illegalities. He brought Marissa into the country almost certainly illegally, since she had been arrested in Cuba just before. He obviously values his privacy so highly for a reason.

Don't know if anyone saw this during yesterday's finale, but in Dec., they're gonna have a 2 hr movie special centered on Evan and Paige's wedding. This is the promo they showed:

USA Network is taking a page from British broadcasters, whose series’ seasons are often complimented by holiday specials in November and December. USA is doing the same with popular drama Royal Pains, which is wrapping its fourth season tonight. The series will do Off-Season Greetings, a two-hour movie dedicated to the wedding of of Evan (Paulo Costanzo) and Paige (Brooke D’Orsay).

The holiday special, featuring flashbacks, a snowstorm and a reunion of old friends, will air Sunday, December 16. It is set several months after the summer finale and for the first time in the series’ history will show the Hamptons in the winter. It will be in lieu of a winter half-season of Royal Pains. For the past two seasons, USA aired summer cycles of 10-12 episodes, followed by 6-episode midseason runs of the series starring Mark Feuerstein. This time around, the network opted for a longer, 14-episode summer run that constitutes Season 4, joined by a two-hour holiday special.
