Sarah Michelle Gellar returns to tv in The Ringer

Andrew's reaction to a black baby would have been priceless. If they were not going to do it right then they should not half ass it

Well even if it did turn out to be white, I still think Bridget having a baby would've added suspense both for the viewer and for her throughout her pregnancy because it would've kept you guessing. You can tell what sex the baby is but you probably can't tell from ultra sound scans whether the baby is black or white. It seems a bit of a missed opportunity.

What would've been funny is if Henry kept insisting the baby was his, and then Bridget popped out a black baby. Finally he'll be convinced and say "hey, that's not mine!"

I'm glad that they explained the armed guard from the first episode. I had completely forgotten about it, but I remember watching the first episode and thinking there was no way SMG could manage to take out a guy twice her size.

Without Slayer strength, that is.

Which one was he? The one offering to give her the gun? I don't really remember that part in the first episode.

Yeah, the one that gave her the gun. In the first episode, Machado came back to Bridget's hotel room to find the armed guard bound and gagged in the bathroom, saying that she got the jump on him. I remember being like "lol ooookay......"

If Malcolm and Bridget rescue Gemma, then Gemma's going to tell everyone that Bridget is not Siobhan. Or maybe Gemma will think Bridget is behind it, since evidence of her has been found, and Gemma was threatening to spill the beans.

Finally saw the last two eps, the show is definitely picking up now that Malcolm is helping Bridgette and some of the cloak and dagger stuff is unravelling. The way the guy who Siobhan is conning in Paris didn't check any deeper into the fact the woman he's been banging seemed to be the bosses wife was a bit stupid though.

I also think that the show is convoluted enough so we could have done without this new Olivia side plot, especially given how ludicrously it came about, she just happened to check his phone that was just conveniently left on the table?

So what's the reason for no Ringer this week? It's not Thanksgiving yet, or wasn't yesterday anyway.

I think that was suppose to be its midseason finale due to the big surprise at the end.

No, we've still got one more this coming tuesday.

It's still the week of a major holiday, especially one where people gather together to spend more time with there family rather than watch tv. Yes, we still got some new eps of shows this week, but those tend to be comedies and shows that are fun to get together with people to watch, like the comedy block on ABC on Wednesday, and not a show that already has somewhat low ratings when compared to bigger networks, so they took a break. Big deal.

I guess that is just about the only way that would end with Gemma

Good god, this show is just so all over the place, but in the best way possible!

It's quite sad how Gemma [blackout]survived the first gunshot only to be killed minutes later[/blackout].

I'm not liking the new angle in the Juliet/teacher story.

It seems as if they just prolonged the inevitable with her death. It seemed originally when her blood was found at Henry's place that she could've been dead already and was already written out.

Not really liking that Juliet plot either. Most pupils don't usually try to initiate something with their teacher, especially if the teacher is clearly keeping their professional distance. This alleged rape plot just seems like they're trying to find something to justify Juliet's presence in the show. I don't know that she really adds all that much to the cast.

Solid midway finale but Bridgette's in a completely unsustainable situation, the ending for her can at best be bittersweet. I also can't see how this can last more than two seasons before ending up completely chasing it's own tail.

Siobhan also seems to get from Paris to New York quickly and with ease considering airport checks since 9/11 and the fact she'll be using fake ID.
The business guy she is manipulating has to be one of the dimmest characters I've seen, I still can't believe he didn't dig a little deeper when he saw a doppelganger of his GF who acted like she'd never seen him before.

It surprised me, usually when things are prolonged like that it means the character will escape.

The Juliet story is a bit like the story with Olivia and Gemma's hubby, an unnecessary added strand. I'm only partially interested to see if she's lying, but I'm already wondering why a guy who'd so far been smart closed the door leaving himself vulnerable, and how her friend who was supposed to just be outside the room seemingly just left.

I just wish Juliet would go away. I'm almost hoping her teacher DID rape her! At least that would be an interesting turn of events.

I think that the way they set that up was weird & I don't think Juliet would be crying if the guy wanted to have his way with her. Since she was crushing on the guy since going to that school. Until we find out for sure I am going to just say Juliet is lying her ass off for being turned down & she took a page from the same be a ***** book that her step mother read

Yeah, he's a foolish teacher if he made such a basic mistake. They're always supposed to leave the door open and he should've aksed Juliet's friend to stay (so he had a witness) not leave! If he were an experienced teacher, he would've known that. Has he just qualified or something?

Juliet will definitely use that against him. Innocent or not that was stupid for the guy to do

I wonder how hard Henry is going to go off the rails now...

I get the feeling that the story wasn't written by someone who has been a teacher, or just made him make such an elementary mistake (which he would've been warned against during teacher training) just for the sake of having that plotline, whether realistic or not.

I read a spoiler (I think it was from E!) that the whole rape thing/story [blackout]involves a third party[/blackout]. Whatever that means.

The move made no sense for a guy who up until that point had played everything smartly. Unless he made a big show of it for the very reason that he had witnesses saying he discouraged her before he actually did the deed.

I wonder how hard Henry is going to go off the rails now...

Judging by his hair in the last ep he's already passed that point.

Could that be the [BLACKOUT]"ghetto girl" who hates her? [/BLACKOUT]

You have to remember she is only 16, just because she's crushing on him doesn't mean she is ready for things to turn sexual even if she thinks she is, it's how a young girl can get in over her head and you have to hope the guy is decent and a responsible adult in the situation.

I don't buy it. I think the teacher rejected her and she got pissed off and sad and decided to spread a rumor about him to get back at him.
