But yeah, it's always hard to stomach these conspiracy theories for me, but at least there's usually some kind of global context to it. But here? Obama and co. staged this to spur gun control talks. Oh dear, my perception of my friend who sent me this video has completely changed since she continues to defend it. At first in the past she told me how wizards and magic are really real and they're locked away somewhere by the government (I was gonna let her slide on that, strike 1), then she started giving me conspiracy crap about how the government implants chips into people when they're born to set them off in the future (strike 2), and now she's defending this idea that the government orchestrated this tragedy to shotgun legislation into effect, .

I was watching the news all day when the Columbine shooting happened and the media showed cops arresting someone a few blocks away. It turns out the person had nothing to do with the shooting , but I've seen people label that a cover up for a third shooter.

That's something I was saying to my friend too. Like really? You do know most of this footage is literally right after it happened and no one has any of the story straight. Not to mention most of them are kids who at the time may not have known the true severity of the situation. The guy running away from the cops or whatever could have been a *****ebag reporter trying to get a shot of the crime scene, a freaked out janitor, whatever. The strange date for the facebook page could have been a different page altogether in the beginning but changed into a tribute one. The video even said something about the rifle being in the car but I remember reading that it was confirmed that a shotgun was found in the car, and it clearly was a shotgun from the aerial view.

These are real people and real life, not actors or some government conspiracy, gimme a break.

I mean the premise is ridiculous. Lets create this horrible tragedy in order to take people's guns away. As if the government didn't have drones and tomahawk cruise missiles to stop any type of "revolution" or "uprising". Let alone nuclear weapons. I'm sure they're real worried about Uncle Dave's glock.

That's what I don't understand. If a small uprising occurred the goverment could label them terrorists and wipe them out instantaneously. I don't think they are worried about Uncle Dave.

If this was a conspiracy 20 parents from the same town had to be willing to let their child die, which wouldn't happen. The only thing I thought was iffy about 9/11 conspiracy-wise was the deal with the Pentagon, and how most videos or security footage (except for those small few frames from the parking gate) was apparently confiscated. Other than that, hmm, seemed like a clear sick act of terrorism to me.

Most of the conspiracy theories I've seen haven't said that it wasn't terrorism, but that it was perpetrated with the government's help or by the government itself. Numerous witnesses claiming they heard pops and reporting explosions before, during, and after the planes hit. Another witness claimed he was stuck in one of the other buildings that later collapsed, saying explosions knocked him back, not debris, and that cops were saying there were more reports of explosions (this witness was found dead years later). Plus, the Project for the New American Century document was probably one of the most messed up pieces of evidence I heard about.

There was also a lot of science involved with the way the towers fell (apparently they couldn't have fallen straight down, as they did, without controlled demolition), and how debris apparently caused another building (that contained important documents that had some dangerous evidence) to fall, among other things. Then again, I was absolutely awful at science, so I can't verify any of that stuff for myself.

Then, there are the wild theories, like one of the planes that crashed was filled with government employees, I guess suggesting they were flown off to keep quite and live somewhere else for the rest of their lives.

Again, I don't necessarily know the validity of this stuff, but the claims seemed rather well presented and researched. I don't really believe our government perpetrated 9/11, but I have no doubt in my mind that we had intelligence telling us it was happening a while before anything even occurred. Honestly, I just like reading a lot of this stuff, because it comes off as better conspiracy stories than 95% of the garbage movies we have coming out nowadays.

At least the 9/11 guys were able to back some claims up with some evidence. This Sandy Hook thing is just making **** up and telling you to do your own research, determining how families must grieve because the guy is an expert of grieving and acting, and how there were multiple shooters. Because multiple shooters claims and other misinformation was never spread during early hours of these incidents before.

Yeah, those kind of people are annoying. My grandmother has lived in New York all her life, and watched the whole situation happen from her office window. I've been to the World Trade Center before and after the occurrence too. That **** is definitely gone.

The first thing I heard about Newtown was a breaking news alert on my phone saying that a gunman had been killed and a teacher had been shot in the foot. I was out shopping and didn't get home until nearly an hour later, and had nearly forgotten the news alert when I saw the full story posted on Facebook. They're so anxious to get the story out that they never get right when they first report it.

But the same thing happened with Aurora. The news was all over the place, that more kids had been shot, that one was wearing a Batman costume. It even has the same conspiracy theories as Newtown. They had the brother of one of the women who was killed in Aurora on Anderson Cooper's show last night and said he gets harrassing phone calls and even a death threat from people calling him a liar. It's crazy.

Besides, if they were paying actors to be distraught on camera, wouldn't they...be distraught on camera? The fact that they're going after the parents of the kids now is just disgusting. The father of the little girl who they're questioning on that video had to take down his daughter's memorial page because it's getting spammed by conspiracy commenters.
