Scott vs. Jean wouldn't have worked.

The only way Scott could have saved her would be with his words, not actions. With that being said, Cyke being the leader he is should have commanded Wolverine to kill Jean.

What should have happened was Cyke saving Jean by calming her down.

Then Jean should have redeemed herself.

Hm, if done with conviction (and watching Mardsen at the end of X2 and beginning of X3 convinces me he had it) I don't know. I didn't wirte diologue but generalized what they would say (other than "I love you Jean" which was in there but very unrealistic for Logan to say).

And I think Logan being pushed back by the Pheonex's force but Cyclops being able to reach her because Pheonex can't kill him would be great. For there to be a moment where she is not in evil mode for him to try and reach her would have been much more powerful than Logan walking up and just stabbing her in the chest.

In all honesty, that scene in X3 reminded me a lot of Van Helsing and how it ended (and that is not a good thing). I also like the idea of Logan and Cyclops working together throughout the third film and going from resentment to a gradual and beggrudging respect and at the end they should aprt ways as friends with a hand shake (as Logoan refused to shake his hand in X1 in the same office) instead of Logan staying on. I would have preferred an uncured Rogue (who would've helped the demise of Mags by touching him instead of Beast....retribution for the first film which was hinted at in X2) to go oon the "run" again with Logan at the end. It would have been a better epilogue than her as cured and he a teacher....and Cyclops a...whatever you are when you are demolocurized.

Just my opinion though.

I agree, this really would have been the most logical conclusion to the series, and had the movie been in capable writing hands, this is probably what we would have gotten. Sadly, though, it was not to be. *sigh*

or and maybe what if she grabbed Logan's arm and stabbed herself with his claws? ... lhmmm

Cyclops and Wolverine Slowly approach jean Wolverine is the main focuse as he's being hit with Jean's attack, Cyclops distracts Jean to allow Wolverine to get closer too her.
Cyclops: Jean!! You can control Jean, you have to control it.........NOW!

Colossus throws Leech at Wolverine, Wolverine catches him while he's near Phoenix, Cyclops rushes up to her with the cure to make the effect permanent...... :D ROTFLMAO

if they did it like that, why not just have some massive mutant orgy at the end, jean getting railed by like 6 mutants.

I wish he diidn't heal so damn fast. it'd have been extremely cool if we saw his metal skeleton exposed all over and his body shredded ike the termnator.

Wolverine's immortal, bithc.

Even Superman has Kryptonite. Yet Wolverine can't be stopped or killed by anything.

He truly is the most annoying, overrated and overpushed character that has ever existed. **** Wolverine raw in the ass with a rusty pipe if you ask me. I hate the character.

Exactly. The ultimate heroic moment of the Dark Phoenix Saga was Jeans. She sacrificed herself to protect the world.

Has Wolverine ever died in the comics?

Not that I know of. He's survived nuclear explosions and being torn in two before, as well as having his face blown off with a shotgun and then being ran over with a steamroller.

He's an obscenely powerful character at this point.

There's been some What If? stories where he's died.

Only a small portion of Wolverine's past was revealed. All that was revealed was the person responsible for giving him his metal claws and skeleton. We don't know why. We don't know what Wolverine did before that point.
Thats very true:up: Wolverine has a very interesting past. It could be a great movie.

I hope they ditch the idea of Juggernaut.:down

here's my question, wolverine's mutant power is his regneration powers, correct?

now are his claws part of his mutation and covered with that metal

or were his claws formed when the metal was put on his bones

Well in the comics he had bone claws.....

yeah.....in Wolverine's Origin story.....it was established that bone claws were a part of his mutation.......

It was also revealed much earlier, I think, when Magneto ripped the metal off of Wolverine's skeleton........it was then later revealed he had bone claws all along.
