Scream 4!!!!!

I was listening to the 4 pieces of score I have for these films. And one thing that makes me sad that this actually got made? Sid Wears A Dress from Scream 3. The version of her theme that starts off haunted, but turns happy and has parts of Gale and Dewey's theme mixed in.

Haha. Knowing we have a happy version of Sid's theme kinda defeats the fact we have it now that she's going to be unhappy again in Scream 4.

This is quite interesting. Good to know Wes as involved in the writting!
After all the Scream 4 rewrite hysteria last year, something in the timeline just wasn’t adding up for us. Kevin Williamson was out the door before shooting even began, and once it did, his replacement, executive producer Ehren Kruger was firmly embedded. Towards the tail-end of the shoot, revisions were still being written with the pagecount blowing out to 140 pages, requiring an extension of the schedule and the addition of six actresses to film the latest material. However Kruger had already been long gone for Transformers 3, also shooting in Michigan. Double duty might have been possible, but highly unlikely in our opinion. His sole writer status on the robo threequel meant extensive work for him during that movie’s shooting over several months.
Then there is also the weekend of additional photography earlier this year, never attributed to any hired gun. Those extended scare scenes certainly weren’t improvised, so there had to be at least a third writer on board. Who was the phantom scribe?
While attending press junket activities this week, Assignment X quoted director Wes Craven shedding positive light on the rewrites, in the process naming the other writer as…
…Wes Craven.
“I’m very pleased with the movie and how the script turned out,” said Craven. “It was a result of Kevin’s master script and Ehren did a decent amount of work on specific scenes. I wrote sections of the film myself, but it’s very much Kevin’s concept and over-arching framework of the film.”
Now this isn’t surprising. The veteran director contributed to the ever-evolving Scream 3 screenplay in 1999, along with writers Kruger and Laeta Kalogridis. Craven has such a reputation as the genre’s master director that many forget he’s a writer too, having scripted the majority of his directorial output up until Scream in 1996.
Any polishing by Wes Craven on Scream 4 can only mean the storyline’s consistency has been assured – after Williamson, Craven himself is the longest and closely invested in the saga and its characters.

What does he mean by over-arching framework? Nonlinear?

Those clips are classic Scream material. I love the lighting and the brooding atmosphere in the Jill/Trevor scene. And the acting seems very natural and free from the new young actors. I'm impressed.

Kirby, btw, rocks!

You can listen to 30 second previews of the soundtrack here. Including Jill's theme ''Jill's America" and what sounds like a new chase theme ''Don't Mess With The Original."

Hell, this reminds me of the game I've wanted forever...

HALLOWEEN.

You get to be Michael (Splinter Cell), you have to sneak up on babysitters and murder them.

haha, a Ghostface game would be just as EPIC

A HALLOWEEN, Nightmare on ELm Street, Friday the 13th, or Scream game would be epic, IMO.

How would a Scream video game even work?

I want a Scream TV series. With the right ideas and crew behind it, it could be brilliant.

Yeah, a video game could work if it was like Heavy Rain.

It could work. By using an entire season as the mystery and being able to develop all the characters throughout the location and in the season finale reveal who the killer or killers are. Maybe. But how long could it go on for?

I could see a Harper's Island summer long series type thing. But not a whole 22 episode season. Eventually it would be like "Okay. Everyone in Woodsboro has been killed except our lead heroine and this other guy. Guess who the killer is."

But then you can say the same for Vampire Diaries, true Blood, etc.....don't lots of people die in those shows and they all take place in one town.

A Scream series would be great. The characters and setting and relationships are already there. We can have someone getting killed every 2 or 3 episodes. The killer doesn't always have to be successful with the killings for him to show up in an episode. He can also appear as a means to taunt and bully his victims without any intention of killing them until afterwards.

This would make a great tv series I think. Especially if Kevin was onboard as head writer, to keep the consistancy with the other films.

^^ Yeah, Scream 3 had a little bit more goofiness than the first 2, but still thoguht it was really good. Not as good as the first 2, but overall really good, IMO.

David and Courtney look so cute together in that video. I really hope they can get over their drama and stay together. You can see how genuine they look with each other.

This movie is looking great. I cant wait to see it!

Anyone know of any sites where i can get good quality photos of this movie??
