The Avengers Second post-credits scene revealed

sorry if this has been brought up already - but is this the only scene in the movie where all 6 actors are seen together? Since Hawkeye is brainwashed early on he is not with the team for half the movie, and then Banner Hulks out so he's gone till the end, and by then Iron Man is suited up, etc. - so it seems this is the only time the entire cast is assembled - I guess that's a good enough reason to add this scene...

The scene in Central Park when Thor and Loki leave there are all actors too. But it's very short so I agree with this!

People, keep an open mind.
Since when do movies have to be told in chronological order?
Has anyone seen Memento?

Or maybe you should stick to Barney the Dinosaur. :-)

The scene is basically Whedon screwing around with the audience. Because he can.

Plus, its a scene right out of the funny books.

And obviously the scene takes place right after the battle. They're still in their costumes ffs. How else would it even make sense? Sheesh.

I doubt steve rogers suits up like that just to eat some shawarma. Plust the shop is kinda messed up. Plus theyre all exhausted-looking. Well, except Thor and Banner. Have to see it again, its a bit fuzzy.

No, what's obvious is that the scene isn't meant to hold up to this kind of scrutiny. If you're arguing about continuity then you're missing the simple fun of it all.

We shouldn't look too far into this, it's just a joke, it doesn't need to make sense. Plus didnt Coulsen find Thors hammer during IM2 but we saw it after the credits?
Edit: Actually I think the post credits scene was set after the film.

I didn't notice the shawarma bar the first time. It was sitting right there in front of Tony while he was being attacked and Fury was telling him about the incoming Nuke.

I finally caught this myself on the 4th time through. Right after Tony says "Jarvis, you ever hear the story of Jonah" and then flies right through that big Leviathan creature and kills it....he crash lands and gets attacked by a bunch of Chautari. He's right in front of the Shawarma Palace. The same place they end up eating at the end.

Which makes me wonder....after taking out a Leviathan all by himself and in the middle of being pummeled by a bunch of Chautari....was Stark thinking to himself "Hmmmm, Shawarma....what is that? I'll have to try it later"?

Watched the movie last Saturday, there was only 1 credits scenes and it was the Thanos one. I stayed till the very end, but no shawarma scene for me. Watched the movie in The Netherlands.

That end credits scene makes me hungry. I've never had Shawarma before but it sounds interesting and something I'd like to try.

Damn...I want one now...

Polix

That's the price you pay for getting the film before us. :p
Wow, we finally get a movie before the US gets it. With all the other movies, it's the other way around. Finding Nemo was already out on DVD in your country, before it hit theatres here. etc etc

:word:

first post

this is what the scene says too me

we have came together, we are a team now

not something Fury threw together

It holds up fine and there is no argument. Enjoy your day.

If you live near any medium sized city, you should be able to find some form or shawarma. a yelp search should do the trick.

Greek gyro is not the same, but it is similar.

I can't believe how many people didn't know about shawarma before this film.

Kind of awesome really.

I know shoarma, döner and gyro. Have eaten them all long before this movie. ;-)

I watched the scene yesterday evening on youtube. Thank God for bootlegs :-)

was munching on a shawarma while watching the entire film (okay several shawarmas) they're awesome and the film is among the best superhero adaptations i've ever seen. Seriously. Whedon brought the soul into the genre that felt like it was dying off.

Oh and no that post-cred scene isn't the only one where they're together, the best one is of course when all six of em are looking up at the invasion (the money shot?)

ALso that sweeping shot of everyone fighting the chaturi on each level seems like one scene in a way so yeah. No they're together in a lot of these moments.

I said all the actors together, not all the characters. In the shots you mention Robert D. and Mark R. are not seen, their digital characters are. But after seeing it a second time the Central Park scene does feature the entire group of actors, even Loki - but it might only be in one wide shot - so I can see the desire to have them assemble once again.
