Well yeah, if you see the scene in the Lumerian Star when Steve finds her in that room after fighting Batroc. :funny:

Granted that wasn't "before" TWS, but it was before the big reveal. So she probably had that attitude in her usual SHIELD missions. Also the beginning scene of TA when she was being interrogated, I saw her as smug.

Doesn't matter. If she is smug, then they made her that way for TWS. They didn't use in TWS BECAUSE she's smug.

In TA, she was annoyed about Coulson interrupting her mission. Not the same thing.

Is there any reason why Sharon is called Agent 13 in MCU? I thought in the comics, it is due to the fact that she's a top agent at SHIELD, but in MCU it doesn't appear to be the case.

"You really think I'm beautiful?" "This moron is giving me everything" "I'll call you back" - followed by a smirk.

Also her conversation with Loki ending with "thank you for your co-operation." The way she talked to Bruce during their meeting, till he went semi crazy on her.

I think it's just a code name, in AoS there's a SHIELD agent called Agent 33.

"You really think I'm beautiful?" Doesn't denote anything about her work with SHIELD.
"This moron is giving me everything" spoken with annoyance when Coulson blows her cover.

And, again. The smugness doesn't matter?

The Doylist explanation is that they didn't want to reveal her identity, which wasn't a good idea frankly.

The Watsonian explanation might be that all the agents in the "Special Service" division of SHIELD have similar callsigns.

It strongly gives the viewer an idea of how she sees her job. She doesn't seem torn about being a SHIELD assassin, she has fun on the job, she doesn't feel sorry for Steve for having opposing moral positions, she doesn't feel bad about lying, etc. That panel had Sharon feeling bad for having to lie to Steve and killing that guy (who MCU Steve would have been able to kill quite easily) to protect Steve from going against his morals. I'm sorry I just don't see what you are seeing with Sharon and Steve.

I like them together but not because of their "moral divide".

What is this, Daredevil and Elektra? So Evans wants MCU Cap to date someone with no moral compass, that's a cold blooded killer like Elektra. DD called and he wants his Elektra back.

I'm sorry I can't produce scans of a comic with Sharon and Steve against Batroc on a freighter.

Evans didn't talk about Natasha being a smart mouth, he talked about them coming from different backgrounds and different worlds. IMO that accurately describes his comic dynamic with Sharon, and I've included comics panels for why I think so.

You're latching on to Natasha making pithy comments like it makes a difference, or like that's not a character trait that started with TWS, or like that's something that can't be done with Sharon.

how about Harley Quinn? :yay:

Well to be honest it's not like Cap in the comics is above dating a bad guy (Diamondback). :funny:

He just said they have an interesting dynamic and he has a point there. And DD and Elektra were great imo. Maybe not the healthiest relationship to support but they were entertaining as ****.

True, but the moral guy dating no-moral-killer gal is already taken by DD/Elektra in the MCU where it's done superbly. Cap/BW would pale in comparison. Also BW dating Cap right after Bruce would look like she gets around in the work place.

Well it's too late NOW. :funny:

Evans isn't asking for them to have a relationship NOW, he's just implying he saw a foundation for one in TWS. Which judging by audience reactions to their interactions in that film is a fair statement.

Of course it's too late. But Evans' comments doesn't help with all the Sharon/Staron hate that EVC's getting and it shows his lack of knowledge of Staron's dynamic relationship in the comics.

Is Evans really required to know about the relationship dynamics of all the significant characters in Caps world?
His primary responsibility is to do his best to tell the story that is being told on screen.

Of course not, but people are going to use that to bash Sharon and prop up Black Widow all the same.

Yep on Tumblr The Romanogers shippers are saying Evans ships Romanogers! its like Widow is the queen of the MCU. :yay:

Personally, I wish Sharon was introduced in the first Avengers movie. If they had established the fact that she was in SHIELD for a long time and is an established agent herself, it will be easier to recreate the kind of relationship they had in the comics.

No it's because she's the only woman aside from Peggy that Steve has formed a rapport with. Those fans on tumblr would ship him with Wanda if Joss decided to go there in AoU. :funny:

That would have been difficult, what with less than five minutes being spent in 2011.

Some of them do I know because i'm a ScarletAmerica fan myself and this is coming from someone who used to be a huge ScarletVision fan. :yay: Oh some even ships Evans with Olsen. :yay:

They could've fleshed out Sharon A LOT more all with still letting ScarJo have the large role she did in TWS.

Here's how they should've done it, IMO...

TFA
- Sharon could've been the agent at the end who was trying to convince Steve he was still in the past

Avengers
She could've played a role in SHIELD and been in a few scenes

TWS
She should've been a known SHIELD agent, still assigned to protect Steve but not in disguise as a Nurse. Have her keep her scenes defending Cap at the end of the film. She could've taken Maria Hill's role in the film also and rescue Widow, Cap and Falcon and work with them at the end.

Avengers 2
Party scene, she could've been Steve's date

Civil War
Establish a relationship with Cap and take place in at least a battle.

Oh well though... :(

EVC looked beautiful at the Berlin premiere. I'm happy she's touring with Downey, Bettany and team Iron Man because Downey has been such a gentleman and so cute with her on the tour.
