I'd just like to point out that both Sharon AND Wanda are included in the airport fight set from LEGO....
So? A LEGO set for Iron Man 3 has Iron Man fighting Mandarin in some sort of drone contraption. And it's the LEGO figurine of the fake Mandarin.I'd just like to point out that both Sharon AND Wanda are included in the airport fight set from LEGO....
I just want to know why every character in this franchise can get a romance in their sequels except Captain America?
Because DC was going to do BvS in order to compete with Marvel b.o. wise. Then explain why M&M was disproportionately excited for Sharon because of how "meaty" she is way back in 2011 only to have a glorified cameo in TWS 2014? Again M&M talked up Sharon for Cap 3 then afterwards Feige and Russos were only potentially thinking about doing Civil War around the Age of Ultron? It's obvious deduction. It was the Russos who wanted to do Civil War. The Russos wanted to take the character to the next level. It had nothing to do with DC. I think you're projecting a little.
That's unfair because Hayley is a FAR superior actress than ScarJo, Gwyneth, and Cobie too. EVC played a good Agent 13-esque character in Revenge so maybe that's what Marvel wanted. And casting Hayley as Sharon would make Steve seem creepy. It's like he only dated Sharon because she looks EXACTLY like Peggy which is unfair to Sharon. The only dog I have in this fight is that I find Hayley Attwell a FAR superior actress than EVC. I still say they should have just cast Hayley in the part, changed her hair color, etc. After all, Peggy and Sharon were supposed to have looked exactly the same, in the comics. She could have pulled it off.
From EVC's Marvel interview back in 2013/2014 she alluded to the other actresses that auditioned to failing the romantic screen chemistry test with Evans. I agree with EVC because from the Evans movies I've seen he hardly shares romantic chemistry with his leading ladies except for Chyler in NATM, I thought they had great chemistry. With Hayley, Scarjo, Alice, and co., it came across as more platonic. Personally I find EVC/Evans adorable together and they look great together too.Anyway, as to the above, the sidelining of Sharon was from the very beginning. They took FOREVER to cast that part, and curiously, never seemed to really commit to either the actress or the character, which is highly unfair to Miss VanCamp.
Personally EVC popped for me, but everyone's opinions differ. It didn't help that she only got 3 mins.I don't know if Sharon was ever wasted, so much as the actress didn't "pop" onscreen, and Peggy cast a long shadow. The Sharon/Cap relationship in the comics was always kind of clinical and passionless. She was his main love interest, but can anyone really say that she was an important character in her own right? Any story function she may have embodied, could have been filled with any number of other characters.
Disagree. I think Marvel's first choice Emily Blunt would've made a far far superior Black Widow. Black Widow, Hawkeye and Maria Hill are miscast too. I'd say EVC is on par with Evangeline Lily's acting where both came from TV backgrounds.Marvel's casting choices have been across the board outstanding, so its curious to me that such a charisma free actress landed that role. Each of the characters you mention above, are played by really, really good actors, and each made the most of their roles. Peggy, Pepper and Hope were the leading ladies of their respective films, while Anthony Mackie is the bomb.
EVC's Q&A where she's basically giving no schitzs about those Marvel snipers. WARNING she's telling spoilers left and right about Sharon in CW. EVC's Q&A where she's basically giving no schitzs about those Marvel snipers. WARNING she's telling spoilers left and right about Sharon in CW.
It's basically most of our obvious predictions.
Maybe it was also cut because Nat, Hill, & Sharon were all spies hence playing similar spy roles and they opted to highlight spy Nat and didn't want any overlap.I thought Sharon popped as well, but I am a fan of the actress and was hoping she'd have a larger role.
I don't think screentime was cut due to the actress at all, I think it was cut to fit in other characters, which is a shame IMO since the other characters have other films to shine in.
Yeah I know, I'm hoping she didn't spoil everything. And I thought Cap gave her a call after TWS events. Why didn't Steve call her!?As much as I've waited to hear something, that's not great.
.
I guess all this plot with Bucky is too intense, so they needed insurance.Did she mention all that? I'm on the train with no headphones so I can't watch, but read some excerpts on tumblr.Yeah I know, I'm hoping she didn't spoil everything. And I thought Cap gave her a call after TWS events. [BLACKOUT]So she's working in Germany for the accords. She sees Cap for the first time since TWS at Peg's funeral in the beginning of CW where she gives the eulogy. Cap finds out she's the grand niece. She's the double spy that helps him feeding him inte There's no intense scene with Sharon, only fun scenes. That one Bucky fight scene. And she might not return for IWs[/BLACKOUT] Even Maria Hill played a bigger part in the MCU.
Yes, and a bit more that I forgot. Oh and she really likes Lizzie Olsen.Did she mention all that? I'm on the train with no headphones so I can't watch, but read some excerpts on tumblr.
I didn't catch that, but if she did WTF? Sharon's all about Duty Over Love!!! Oh wait, that's right this was another thing that was taken over by Scarjo/BW/Joss when she mentioned it around the AoU promo interviews, something about BW choosing duty over love when she let Hulk fly off in AoU.She says she follows her heart over her head, which is pretty much the opposite of Sharon's character.
Edit: Because they have the same moral compass which is why Sharon finds herself loyal to Cap.She's loyal to Steve to the point of risking her job, but why? Is it because Peggy did? That's not gonna help the claim she's Peggy 2.0
There is also thisYeah I know, I'm hoping she didn't spoil everything. And I thought Cap gave her a call after TWS events. Why didn't Steve call her!?
