When Hawkeye fans say Whedon hates Hawkeye, or Black Widow's fandom talks about Marvel oppressing Black Widow, do they get called names too?

Oh well, I know all the scenes she has in the movie now... 7 of them. I hope they bring her back for future films.

Considering Russo and Whedon have praised the actors and expressed affinity for those characters, yeah. Black Widow is definitely not lacking for screentime, either.

Still, they don't get the same "wait four years before you say that".

Sharon's last scene in the film takes place before the airport battle and before the team get's together for the fight. (meaning she's absent from the battle) Also, the airport battle is supposed to be in the middle of the movie.

Do you have the link? Then why was EVC seen in the Liepzig airport? Why is Sharon in the team promo arts if she's not going to fight with them in some way? Why? EVC did say that she wasn't involved in any intense scenes only the fun ones.

Okay I couldn't help myself. I'm guessing that the funny scene occurs in the 2nd or last scene. I understand why the bar scene was cut because it'll also seem repetitive. But then why was EVC spotted in the Liepzig airport if she's not going to be in it? Was it cut? I'm hoping these aren't all of her scenes because where's the scene from the trailer with Ross?

1. She gives a speech at peggy's funeral
2. Sharon and Steve have a moment at her hotel where they talk about peggy and there's a bit of awkward romantic flair to it
3. Sharon and steve watch what happened at the un and sharon has to leave because duty calls
4. She helps steve find bucky by giving him some intel
5. Once bucky is arrested and zemo is brainwashing him, she tells steve what floor bucky is on
6. She fights bucky as he escapes
7. Steve meets up with sharon to get his gear back and they kiss

I think she does wear that outfit but she doesn't use that weapon. And she only fights in one scene.

It's funny, Whedon cut a bunch of Cap's scenes from Avengers because he thought that sort of stuff belongs in the solos. The Russos are kind of the negative of that.

She was spotted in the Liepzig airport, an Atlanta scene with Sam and Scott, and the trailer scene with Everett Ross? Again I really feel that they should've added another scene between Steve and Sharon conversing after her cover was blown in TWS to help build them up more.

I wonder if she returns to work for SHIELD at the end of CW.

I'm not even a big Sharon fan (yet!) and even though I was initially weirded out by the whole grandniece thing, I agree. These nuts on tumblr ranting about how much they hate Sharon because she gets in the way of their ships deserve it. Their hatred just makes me want to like her more.

And it's only going to get worse after the movie's release. They're all mostly a bunch of irrational teens and tweens from around the world. I'll be smiling so hard my cheeks are going to hurt from watching that (hopefully passionate) kiss. EVC and Evans, please do not let me down.

I knew she would be there only as love interest/girlfriend of Steve. If it had been a movie like WS, I could have seen her role developed. From what I'm reading, her important scene it's the kiss scene , and it's funny because of Bucky and Sam. She is overshadowed by two other characters in her most important scene.
I bet her scene IW, will be both an established relationship.

I'm aware of what a forum is for. I came into this thread, saw some of the childish claims being made in here; so I commented on it. I'm allowed to do that, I'm allowed to hold that opinion.

People here have actually bring receipts, to show that yes Sharon should have been bigger in those movies and all some of you're doing is saying "you're wrong." It's like we are not allowed to say anything negative about the mcu?

I've come into this thread a few times to comment on these claims, because - in the same way you claim I come in here "over and over again" - you and a select few others have continually made snide remarks about the crew of this movie and moaned about everybody hating Sharon. You are not talking about how Sharon could have been used either. Instead, you're just complaining that she wasn't.

As to your last comment, say what you like about the MCU lol, I have my problems with it too, so don't pull that card. Not everybody who defends the film is a fanboy who sees no fault in the MCU. So you can forget about that.

I didn't say anybody was wrong for wanting more of Sharon. There are characters I'd like to see more of that aren't going to get shown, and there are characters I'd like to see less of that will remain in the spotlight. There are decisions that have been made that I've disagreed with, and outright not liked. I'm allowed to not like things, in the same way you are allowed to be dissapointed in the way the Russos have used Sharon.

But I've never gone around making such wild accusations as to the cast and crew having vendettas against the character and actress behind her. Because that's ridiculous. And if you can't see that, well... Then I don't know what to tell you.

It's like the reverse of Peggy, who's importance in the films/TV shows has been drastically EXPANDED when compared to the comics.

Oh and BTW, this is part of the reason why I kept saying that CW shouldn't be a Cap movie. It should have been an Avengers film (from what I hear, it's basically Avengers 3 in all but name anyway) or a "Marvel Presents" kind of deal.

I'd be happy if they added her to the AoS cast, especially since they just lost Mockingbird & Hunter to the Most Wanted spinoff.

Sharon is not a major character, but Peggy is played by a superior actress, and fans demanded more of her.

If Civil War were an Avengers film, then I would have to wait even longer to see Infinity War, so no thank you. It's still a Captain America film. The Russos chose to focus more on the brotherly relationship between Bucky and Cap as opposed to the romantic relationship between Steve and Sharon.
