-screams as he rips off his glasses and fires at Fox- Your FIRED!!!

GAH. After watching X2 after so long since early 2004, I was under the impression that we'd get to see more Jean and Scott in X3/X4 but NO! My hopes and dreams shattered b/c FOX told Singer NO! Your Fired!! gah -fires at Rothman- Your fired!!!

Fox wouldnt allow him to do X-3, since he wanted to do X-3 and X-4 back to back and wanted to focus on Jean and Cyke and Singer was left unemployed. Warner came up to him about doing Superman so he took it. Day's later Fox announced X-3

Oh well... Committing to an X3 and X4 sounds great, but quite a big cost and a financial/commercial risk perhaps...

Fox would never let Cyclops be a focus - Cyclops was shoved aside for most of X2 and I can't imagine Singer or the writers really wanting to do that.

Didn't singer say that he'd give cyclops a bigger role in the next one before all this s*** hit the fan?

Thats what i dont understand, the cost of X-3 and X-4 would have been equal to the 200 mil that Bretts X-3 cost

But Fox would never let that happen...You can see the signs in X2 - Cyclops captured, Wolverine and Jean have their moment by the X-jet, Mystique allows the opportunity to show a Logan/Jean seduction scene in the tent... the writing was on the wall folks...

My thoughts exactly.

-sighs-

So what are we gonna do? I can't believe we're not gonna fight for this.

I just sounded like Bobby :p

What are a bunch of internet fan's going to do? Petition? Fox is never fan friendly so i doubt that would work. Our best hope is to wait for a competent director to come along in the 20 years or so it takes for Fox to loos the rights and give it back to Marvel

Well I was only kidding. lol but again I don't know if I want to wait 20 years... i'd be in my 40's by then and Ms Janssen would be 60 something years old  and James would be... in his 50's. :(

Well we will never get a decent X-film with Fox owning it. Hopefuly they will realise its more profitable to sell the rights than to produce another x-movie (since there worried about the costs of it) So hopfuly someone like Sony can get it

haha i can see it now the X-manison is like an old peoples home. Think about how old Ian Mckellen would be and Patrick. lol.

I think i'll cherish what I've got out of the 3 x-films... no one does a better Jean than Ms Janssen, no one does a better Scott than Mr Marsden, No one does it better than yooooooou ... No one does it better than youuuuu. yeah. ... yeah that was me sort of singing... :p

It's indeed a much healthier attitude to find the good in what you've got, and enjoy it, than continually have a 'grass is greener' attitude and want what you haven't got and are unlikely to get...

But how if theres nothing to enjoy in it. Dont get me wrong X-1 and X-2 were near perfect in my opinion. X-3 was just....blegh.

Do what the fans did to get their Batman Begins, and we may be able to get X-men as they should be, or at least closer to what they should be, or at least a movie where 1/2 the cast doesn't die to force spinoffs on us.

Well, if that's your view, then ignore X3 altogether.

But i can't believe there isn't anything you like in X3... Beast for instance?

He was totaly under used. No explanation was given to why the president and co. let a mutant in on there plan's.

The government had set up a Dept of Mutant Affairs, that's why --- to try to work on 'mutant relations'. Beast represented the voice of the mutant community and the president quite clearly asked for his help.

He wasn't underused at all. He was a key player in the movie, much more represented than an actor on a TV screen in X2 or a planned transformation scene where Cerebro made him furry (which was never filmed). Just remember how much was left out of the first two movies....

ok. But Beast wasnt used to his full potential as he could have been. Thats why i felt he was underused

In all honesty, I think we got a pretty much perfect Beast..

1) the blue furry look
2) hanging upside down reading
3) the 'stars and garters' classic line
4) the well-spoken intellectualism that is so opposite to what one would expect from his appearance
5) a hint that he'd been an X-Men member in the past
6) fight scenes showing his acrobatics

I don't think he really could have done much more. I feel the same about Angel too, though some think he didn't get much of a role.

I think some ppl forget Jean's opening scene in X-Men when she's at the Senate hearing... ... la la la ... Since her death, beast took over her position.

Beast's character was fine, but his appearance was dreadful. You'd think with a 150+ mil budget they could have gotten some hair that looked more real.

no i preffer that singer do X4 than a remake of X3 , it will be wired!

Yes, Singer for an X4, thing that I really doubt end happening. Could happen, but don't think Fox and Singer will work together in this franchise.
