The Dark Knight Rises Should WB bring in Frank Miller?

Maybe they don't care about what we care about, but they do know a stinker when they see one, as evidenced by how bad the Spirit was received.

Still the man not a bad director. Let him direct Dark Knight Returns be awesome.

All-Star Batman was funny he pit slapped Robin lol. Robop Cop 2 and 3 okay they was bad. DKSB was fair. But last i checked Miller did not direct Robop Cop 2 and 3.

He wrote the scripts for those, and the dude that started this thread wanted Miller to write the next Batman movie. And because of his past films, and the fact that he's gone all John Byrne/Chris Claremont on us, we got five pages of people telling him it's a bad idea.

Nah, save that spectacular team up for a Robocop Reboot. :o

Miller wrote Robocop 2 and 3.

Making Batman curse and slap Robin around isn't my idea of great writing. I like his stuff years ago....but now he shows his misogyny and gutter feelings too much.

These days, Miller is all about ****es. Not that theres anything wrong with that. :o

Just doesn't work for the Batman.

After Frank directed the terrible Spirit film I don't want him to make another film unless he's co-directing with someone with more experience just like in Sin City.

Oh yea he did such a great job on RoboCop 2.

He used to be able to write comics, his latest stuff is not very good.

the idea that frank miller knows batman more than anyone just because he wrote two books that people slobber over makes me feels sorry for the (superior) work that denny o neil, neal adams, steve engleheart, paul dini, and bruce timm have done for the character.

All them guys were great too and better then Miller and aslo should write/direct a Batman movie but Miller still awesome.

And didn't Neil Adams , Denny O' Neil and Steve Engleheart do the 70s Batman comics? They were awesome. Alot of people get on them comics cause they think 70s Batman was campy. I know Timm and Dini did Batman: The Animated series and New Adventures of Batman.

Good director or bad. I personally don't think it's wise for artist (authors, film makers, etc.) to re interpret their own work in another form of media.

That's just personally though. If I ever finish my book ideas and was offered the chance to direct a film about them. I'd have to decline as I'd like to see how someone perceived my work.

Haha, now that might not always be smart I suppose, cause it could turn out to be total crap but...you get what I'm saying.

I think there was something going around a while ago about Sam Rami doing an Evil Dead remake. And I'm just like, "Man, why would you want to remake and film that you've already made?"

Sure, effects are better. And maybe you didn't get to tell the story the way you wanted to. But in my personal opinion that's a dark path to take.

Fear leads to anger....
