The Dark Knight Rises Should WB bring in Frank Miller?

you know what would be better then that guy with his hands to his forehead in frustration (i'm guessing it's Patrick Stewart from Star Trek) Napoleon Dynamite doing his long sigh if you could put sound to it.

right but imagine if it wasn't even though the movie was phenomenal when u read the graphic novels and how dark and grim they are The Dark Knight doesn't come close. to be honest i think once they have cater to the younger audiences with all the mainstream superheroes they should reboot them all with an R rating and just go all out bloody, gorey darker and more intense. imagine if they made Wolverine like the video game. i would like to see Joker kill in the most goriest of ways to paint the silver screen red with his Joker gadgets. they only thing we got close to that was Jack Nicholson with the electric buzzer. one of my favorite Joker scenes from the 1989 movie.

I dont know if we need to see a lot of blood in these movies. The Nolan movies are very cerebral and psychological (as far as superhero movies go, anyway). The Joker was more of a psychological character. I think seeing him slice people into pieces or spread blood across the scene would defeat the central purpose of the character.

As for the question posed in the first post, I have never been a fan of Frank Miller's work. I have always felt that he values style over substance anyway. A lot of fans love "The Dark Knight Returns" and the "All Star" series but I hate those stories because Miller makes Batman into a charicature of what he truly is. In Miller's universe, Batman is just a misanthropic egomaniac who swears up and down and insults others because he's so arrogant. I think Miller would sacrifice the integrity of the Bruce Wayne/ Batman we've grown fond of in the Nolan movies.

Why? Because you said it needed to be? You don't know the significance of Wil Eisner's Spirit....why should I close a thread becasue you think it needs it?

I wasn't a fan of Miller's year one script so no thanks

A little off topic but does anyone else think Frank Miller is starting to look like freddy krugger

Dude relax. Someone said this thread should be closed so thats why I said that. And what does THE SPIRIT has to do with this?

I'm officially bemused.

Now back to the topic at hand: Frank Miller's godlike genius.

Oh well Miller can always look back and say he wrote good comic books.

After writing "The Dark Knight Returns" and "Batman: Year One", Miller's brain dissolved.

Frank Miller (the person this thread is talking about) wrote and directed the recent theatrical movie THE SPIRIT which is pretty much world wide considered a travesty and abomination and a slap in the face of Wil Eisner (the Spirits's creater).
Thought you said he not smart anymore?

It was called sarcasm.
