the anti witch cult was moronic add on in the first film and had no need to be other than to ruin a great character in dalia.

and the fact reports have said they have seen a guy strapped to the cross like structure they used in the first film, so the smart money would be on them being included in the story

Man was today a day!

I first arrived an hour before the shooting was finished today, and I managed to take TONS of pictures of the main actress (the blonde one). She was running up this deserted street screaming and tripping over objects like garbage cans and wheelchairs. I also saw the scene on a HD tv in this tent structure on the set! I got videos and everything, at one point she came about 3 feet away from me.

Best part though was when I was walking back home (the street they filmed on today was the street i live on) and i took TONS of pictures of me on the set (an occasion that was not allowed during the day, cause it's night now), There was a security guard but he let me take pictures with the wheelchairs and desserted cars and alley ways!

Now, who want's pictures?

Carrie-Anne Moss and Malcolm McDowell Join Silent Hill: Revelation 3D

The newest residents of Michael J. Bassett's world of Silent Hill: Revelation 3D are Carrie-Anne Moss ("TheMatrix" trilogy, Memento, Unthinkable, Chocolat) who will play "Claudia Wolf" and MalcolmMcDowell (Easy A, "Entourage," A Clockwork Orange) as "Leonard Wolf." Silent Hill: Revelation 3D is currently lensing in Toronto and produced by Samuel Hadida and Don Carmody.

Moss and McDowell join rising star Adelaide Clemens (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road), Kit Harington, and returning Silent Hill residents Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean and Deborah Kara Unger.

Hadida said: "Carrie has displayed her enormous talent across all genres – from 'The Matrix' trilogy to 'Memento' – and we are delighted for her to join the world of Silent Hill. She will certainly bring a new level of excitement to fans of the videogame franchise."

Director Michael J. Bassett said: "Malcolm is quite simply an icon of modern cinema and I've been a fan since I was a teenager when I managed to see 'A Clockwork Orange.' He has an amazing ability to bring new and unexpected dimensions to his characters and I know he will bring something unique and disturbing to Silent Hill."

Hadida and Carmody most recently produced Resident Evil: Afterlife starring Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter and Wentworth Miller. Past collaborations include Resident Evil: Apocalypse and the earlier Silent Hill.

Lionsgate is handling international sales on Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, which is based on the acclaimed survival horror videogame franchise by KONAMI and is the sequel to Hadida and Carmody's earlier Silent Hill directed by Christophe Gans.

For years, Heather Mason (Clemens) and her father (Sean Bean) have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn't fully understand. Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by terrifying nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she's not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever.

im hoping this film will retain the eerie and ominous feeling of the first film, it was so different that it grew on me and id hate for them to return to silent hill and not still have that feeling to it. ALSO the music from the first one was so fantastic and creepy, i still think the piano is creepy and love it. wanting something like that for the 2nd film as well. wonder what monsters they are going to bring back from the first film and what new ones from the games they will have for this film. i loved pyramid head and would like to see some sort of explanation for his appearance but the nurses dont need to come back unless it plays into the plot, much like the first film

I wouldn't worry Eelectro 2 Michael J. Bassett's films are very similar in terms of tone and visuals to Christophe Gans Silent Hill.

Should check out Deathwatch and Solomon Kane.
It was a good idea getting him into the directors chair.

can anybody who knows what this story in the games was about, in detail, give some ideas as to what to expect? any interesting creatures that were or were not in the first film?

The pink bunny has become a trademark and is in SH 3, 4 and Homecoming, first appearing as a lonely carnival prize to add to the creepy setting.
