IMO, if the Joker WAS to kill Dawes...then showing a picture of Joker with a knife up against her cheek a year before the film comes out...would be terrible marketing? surely?

I am 100% absolutely content with everyone of them

- The big one, Joker killing Rachel. This the extreme side of Joker we all want to see and I think her death will have a greater impact on us with Maggie in the role - we would have cheered in the theater had it been Katie

- Relieved the Batpod does not "eject" from the Tumbler. That sounded ******ed.

- Very happy that Two Face's appearance is only a brief cameo likely to stir some sequel interest. That's what I figured it would be anyway, but this should at least shut up the "THERE'S TOO MANY VILLIANS!" whiners.

Good point. The picture of the Joker and Rachael suggests that he's going to kill her or it could be used as a device to distract us from knowing who actually gets killed.

The latter seems to be the most logical.

The spoiler report which is looking to be pretty credible pretty much said it would be Dawes. AND - I think the mob taking things too far conversation in the teaser may have to do with her murder.

Honestly, I don't think you can kill Fox so early in Batman's career. And the entire concept of killing Alfred or Gordon is insane.

Don't really understand the hostility toward these rumors from some of you. They all make quite a bit of sense given what we already know.

I don't quite get why people are up in arms over the Joker learning Bruce's identity. The person made it quite clear that by the end of the movie he would no longer believe Bruce Wayne is Batman. It's a common storyline that has appeared several times in the comic. As long as by the end of the film the Joker doesn't know for certain Bruce is Batman then all is well.

As for Rachel dying... I'm conflicted, but only because I like Maggie Gylennhaul. Personally, back when Katie was still Rachel, I was secretly hoping for this exact outcome. It's not something that I feel is necessary, but if it works within the context of the plot, more power to them for having the balls to do it.

not really, especially to regular (not hardcore fans) audience that is...

people usually have that notion that the hero will always save the day especially a damsel in distress...

killing off Rachel would be breaking that convention...
