Classic Lizard for me.

It will probably look something like the new Lizard, as he is more contempory and Raimi likes to make the villains look new and stylized.

here's how i want it

Lizard First Phase: For this phase, Connors would be in control, but have "outbreaks".

Lizard Second Phase: This phase, Lizard would be smart enough to speak (with a hissing lisp) and have a sorta "strategy" for fighting
Lizard313.gif

Lizard Third/Final Phase (a combination of the 2 pics below but no fins): He's completely lizardy in that he cannot speak (except for hissing and screeching) and he should have a very little bit of raptor in him.

thats how i think he should evolve in the movie.

doc_ock_st, Raimi only modernized the classic versions. He didnt use any Ultimate versions.

Cool theory. I know he did not use Ultimate versions, but the Ultimate Lizard looks cool and would probably work on film.

I didn't say he used ultimates, just that he stylises the characters and makes them believeable and the new lizard design would probably be more acceptable on-screen than a reptile in a lab coat and purple pants.

Ult Lizard sucks/ If it was green, none-finned, and had a lab coat, it'd be good.

Also, did u really have to quote my post with the pics?

yes, fine. sorry.

I'm going to buy two of the Ultimate Lizard figures so I can customize one to look more like the traditional Lizard.

Probably cut off the fins and add a couple of toes so his feet don't look like T-Rex feet. Might add a lab coat too. :)

u can always use the one from teh beast figure in the x-men box set. (just an idea)

im buying a ult lizard b/c it has good articulation. im not much of a customizer so if i see a second one, im selling it.

Cool! Show us the finished result!

Do you do a lot of customising/kit-bashing?

Lizard, do u have any pics of Killer Croc with the Lizards?

I don't do as much figure customizing or kit building as I used to -- I just don't have the time. But it's still fun, and customizing Ultimate Lizzy will be pretty easy.

I'll snap a pic of Croc among the Lizard figures too. :)

Speaking of customs, I think I'm going to try to find an old Mego Thor costume...

Frighteningly enough, I actually have 3 Mego Lizards.

Four, if you count the Mego Star Trek "Gorn" alien, which is a brown Lizard head on a Klingon body. [NERD] :D [/NERD]

Hmm... I just realized that I probably shouldn't post a bunch of toy photos in this SM3 thread, so I'll post the Croc figure pics in the "Lizard Collection" thread linked in my sig below.

Yeah, that's what they should have called him in that Twisted Toyfare Theater story. That's funnier than "Lizard-son". :p

Man - suddenly "The Skink" sounds a lot more credible...:p

I personally think that the MOVIE Lizard should be a good, modern update of the classic one, only with a more pronounced snout, making him more lizard-like.

I still say that Dr. Conners should become the Skink - he should have a slick, black body, with rainbow-lines up and down his back - and his tongue could be BLUE!!! IS IT PERFECT OR WHAT!?

(Still laughing)

On a more "serious" note (and a more "thread-related" note), I don't think the Lizard should have fins unless the lizard-"syrum" that he uses comes from some species of lizard that HAS fins...whatever lizard he gets his syrum from, that is what he should resemble...wouldn't it be cool (not to mention horribly-disagreed-with-by-fellow-SHH-members) if he got it from a hooded lizard?

I love speculation...

I'm going to have to agree with the skink on that idea - bleah! :D

Hmm... the frilled Lizard?

Even though most Lizards grow their tails back, and Curt's regenerative formula could come from any type of lizard, there should be some limitions as to how "fancy" the final form if The Lizard is going to be, in my opinion. ;)

i still stand by this^

Sounds good to me - just don't have him do that first pose - FAR too cartoony and corny.

He looks like he's taunting them or something...:D

For Lizard, I want them to go with the classic look, but "modify" it like they did with GG and Doc Ock.

The last thing this franchise needs is yet another "Scientific Experiment goes wrong" villian.

It's bad enough damn near ever Marvel character that is getting a movie is "genetically altered"

Well, it's a given that I have to disagree with you on this one, Spider-Fett, even though I do understand the point you're making.

The thing is, when Spidey himself, the hero, is the result of a genetics-altering experiment-gone-wrong, it sort of sets the stage for the whole universe in which the movie exists.

Of course I want to see Lizard - he's the first "monster" villain Spidey fought in the comics as well as the first villain who could duplicate all Spidey's powers (except webshooters and spider-sense). But I also would like to see more involvment with underworld/Mafia/Maggia type villains in the movies. A secondary villain like Silvermane, Hammerhead, or Caesar Cicero could work since they would not be "supervillains" in that sense, and not scientists.

But for aesthetics, action, and visual impact, Lizard should be in there definitely.
