the same could be said about GG2...but they seem to be going to try to pull it off

I am hoping that he is in it and peter goes to him for help to figure out the symbiot. as for him becoming he lizard in the this one i don't like it, but just showing some reference to lizard experiments or something that he’s working on, in the back ground when spidey goes to see him would be cool

I'd expect Connors to play the same role here that he did in the animated series, as far as the "diagnosing" symbiotes and all that.

it depends. if venom were to die in part 3, then bringing in carnage in any future movie would be a complete carboard copy.

it's my personal opinion that the only thing carnage can offer the spider-man movie franchise, is character development for Venom. carnage by himself, woud look cool, but otherwise suck. however carnage can make venom better. he can improve venom's storyline and development.

you're right, and if they're bringing Carnage, it should be a very dark movie, definately not PG-13....

They will never make Carnage. He's too much of a copy of Venom..Movie goers will be bored with him. Rami himself didnt want to make Venom, but Sony insisted.. Now why would he want to continue the Symbiote storyline?

it depends. on if venom dies or not. if venom gets sent to prison, I see a great storyline with carnage. venom redeeming himself and everything. it's a great opportunity for character development for venom. remember he simply hates spider-man. he still wants to protect "inocccccentssss"

I think Sam was lying when he said he disliked Venom, like he said he would never use Doc Ock, yet magically he appeared in the next film.

I think Raimi could realize that watching eddie brock in prison bulking up, while he despises his fellow inmates, and can't stand his annoying crazy cellmate Cletus would make for good movie! well even see them at group sessions and everything.

Obviously, the 4th villain is either a cameo of the Lizard or ManWolf. Or it could very well be the Symbiote Parasite itself.

The interest about GG2 isn't the goblin part, but the human part. The general movie-going audience would care less what villian he becomes- he could be Venom or somebody else because the human character is the important part.

BUT, in this case, part of the character-driven part is his relationship not just with Peter, but with his father. That relationship is what humanizes the GG2 identity for Harry. Chances are it won't be a simple rehash of GG- I'm kind of hoping that they show Harry's struggle and his taking certain steps to reconciling his relationship with his dad, and then symbolically show that with his "costume" evolving with each 'step' he takes into what will be his final Goblin costume. They may not even refer to him as GG2 in the film... like I said, it's the character stuff that's important (unlike Norman, who was just a schitzo).

As for Lizard.. we've MAYBE had confirmation (I don't wanta dig thru tons of threads to look for it) that Connors atleast makes an appearance (I think I heard someone say to study the symbiote). HOWEVER I think they'll go the cliffhanger route here- Raimi chooses villians that represent similar problems to Parker or significantly contribute to his journey. We have Sandman (maybe another tragic villian?..), and the perfectly placed Goblin and Venom. I think that by the end Peter may fully realize the consequences of being Spidey and everything that comes along with it- and it would be cool to see a very intelligent, level-headed villian in Connors/Lizard that also fully realizes the consequences of their 'alter-ego' but rationalizes living with the "darkness" that Parker will choose NOT to live with by the close of Spidey 3.
