Compare that scene with the one from Mirror Mirror, where Julia Roberts was being silly and jokes about her wrinkle was just eye-rollingly bad. I can see that Charlize Theron will be the one who'd be stealing all the scenes she's in.

Yeah, I've never been a fan of Julia Roberts... she's pretty much incapable of playing anything but her usual persona (yes, she even did that in the overrated Erin Brockavitch) because when she tries to step outside of that comfort zone you get... whatever the hell she's doing in Mirror Mirror.

After all this time rolling my eyes and bemoaning the impending horror of the Kristen Stewart Snow White movie, I can't believe that this is the Snow White movie that looks pretty damn good. It looks like fun, seems to have the right tone, and a consistent one (unlike Mirror, Mirror), and Charlize Theron seems to have done a great job as the Queen.

something i wan to add is people online keep saying kristen is not prettier than charlize's queen but what people forget is the queens look is not her true form she only keeps that youthful form because she steals the souls and hearts of the young pretty girls of the kingdom without them she would turn back to her old ugly form

Snow White wasn't born at whatever age she is in the movie. So let's say she's 18. The Mirror had 18 years to realize Snow White is the fairest of them all. Which actually supports the idea Snow White isn't the fairest YET but will soon become.

The Kristen Stewert hate is getting old, I feel sorry for her, she will carry this Twilight burden with for the rest of her career. I understand people can't stand Twilight but damn she's obviouisly trying to get this painted image off her, give the girl a chance. Ridiculous comments saying you hate her and blah blah blah is just plain remedial.

And to totally dismiss this movie because her is just plain dumb.

The images of her that I've seen lately really give me the impression there's a huge sense of relief from her that the series has come to an end, coz she's started to look a hell of a lot more comfortable than I've seen her over the last few years.

I think if Stewart makes smart career moves and plays to her strengths, I think she can shed that Twilight image within a couple of years. Ditto for Robert Pattinson -- and his next post-Twilight movie is a David Cronenberg movie for God's sake. You don't get more serious than that... and the franchise's success gets doors open for the actors to do passion projects.

Leonardo DiCaprio was able to shed that boyish Titanic stereotype in less than a decade. People see him as a serious actor and capable leading man, rather than a teen idol. If he can do it, the Twilight actors can.

Y'know, I kinda wish Ashley Greene had gotten the role instead. Yeah, she has yet to really prove herself as an actress outside the Twilight movies, but IMO she'd make a hell of a lot more sense than Stewart as "fairest in the land" next to Theron. Plus, doesn't she have a black belt in tae kwan do or something? Seems like a much better fit, and it'd be cool to see her get a shot already.

I want to add kristen imo fits the look,tone, and genre thats huntsman was looking for

lets compare mirror which is light hearted,vibrant, and comedic and look and tone

julia's queen is more comedic and wears bright red and yellow dresses and is quite hammy and comedic

the prince played by armie looks like prince William - blond hair blue eyes , charming smile, and wearing very fancy clothing

lilly's snow white is very pure,sweet and innocent girl looking and she just fits the look and tone that armie and julia also fit for Mirror mirror

just look at side by side comparison to the 3 characters:

Evil Queen

Snow White

The Prince

none of the 3 characters could be swapped over in thier respective films due to the massive tonal differences

Lilly would be out of place as Snow White in the world of SWATH just as Claflin would seem out of place in the world of Mirror Mirror as the prince

and so on and so on

disagree armie hammer and lily specifically was seen as perfect casting for mirror mirror not because of acting but because they physically resembled the disney prince and snow white accurately and that's is exactly what they did for mirror mirror

cant see either fitting in the gritty toned Huntsman Armie actually looks like prince william he has that whole wholesome rich high class look to him lily just has an natural young sweet innocent girl look to her

kristen has a look thats fits well in a gritty tone(she played alot of damaged characters anyways) same with charlize and hemsworth

also i dont see anything in lily that would make me want her to replace kristen both are not great actresses but kristen is likely better and more bankable a star

They're not facts though. Thats a ridiculous assertion. If you had the right make-up, lighting, and wardrobe they could've made the actors in mirror mirror, "fit" this snow white movie. That being said...for the queen, I think Charlize Theron is a much better actress than Julia Roberts and can play dark roles really well like in Monster. However Kristen Stewart is replaceable. I think Camille Belle would've made a great Snow White, well at least physically. I haven't seen much of her films so I don't know about her acting
