Snow White and the Huntsman

I'm on a computer with no sound, but when I watched it before, I thought the Mirror said she would become more beautiful than the Queen.

It did. Which I don't really buy either, but still. :o

Universal is such a mixed bag when it comes to marketing their films, but this teaser is definitely a step up. Visuals look fantastic and much more appealing than Tarsem Singh's Mirror, Mirror.

The appeal is going to depend on your demographic. This one's going after the teen/twilight market, the other one more likely the family market.

I think having Theron coming up naked from that milk bath is probably an appeal to young adults, not teens.

Looks awesome.

EDIT: Also "This one's going after the teen/twilight market", is not correct at all! Twilight fans might see it because Stewart, but it seems the trailer mostly rustled the jimmies of my kind of people; people who like dark fantasy, and gothic stuff (Solomon Kane, LotR, Sleepy Hollow, Pan's Labyrinth etc.).

About, Mirror Mirror. Tarsem himself said it will be "sickeningly kiddie", which I agree it looks like, and it might be a turnoff for me, but the visual side of it the looks neat anyway. If it's "kiddie" like the Princess Bride, it's good, but if it's "kiddie" like [enter a horrible kids movie here], no thanks.

Not saying that Kristen isn't attractive, she's a pretty girl, but Charlize is just so much more elegantly beautiful.

She is pretty, Theron is just a gorgeous woman. In the scene of the trailer where Stewart seems to have bitten the apple, she looks good as Snow White.

:hehe:

Well, the Queen is going to get ugly again. Though, I wonder why she needs to eat Snow White's heart in order to become immortal.

Yes, what teen boy in their right mind would want to sit and watch a naked tall blonde dripping wet.....;)

How long has it been since you were a teen? :o

It's been a long time, unfortunately. :o Actually, I'd like to retract my statement, since I'm remembering all the R rated movies I saw when I was a teen, and those made Snow White & Huntman quite tame by comparison.

Surely you're not referencing the one where she resembled a fresh corpse. I mean, we all have tastes and all, but...

I think the Prince will probably be the one who'll get to kiss Snow White in the end, but I hope they'll throw us a curveball by having her choose the Huntsman over Prince to marry.

I'm surprised, I was skeptic to this project but it looks good, especially the visuals.

I've watched it 10 times already. Seriously, this is a great teaser. Just enough story and great visuals to whet appetites.

If Universal markets this properly and gets enough butts in seats opening weekend, they could have a new franchise on their hands.

I don't see how Snow White can become a franchise, since its story is pretty linear and open-ended. Once the Evil Queen is dead and Snow White woke up from her slumber, the story is over.

I'm genuinely curious what that white substance is.

It sux that Universal has taken down all the trailers on Youtube. Don't they want to let as many people available to see the trailer as possible? It's not like they're posting the movie in its entirety, but merely a 2-minute trailer.

How can you turn it into a franchise? Where's there to go once the queen is killed?

it definitely has a Disney element to it that I love, I am growing fonder of Stewart.

Wow, honestly wasnt interested in this until I heard Hemsworth and Theron were in it, but after seeing the trailer, I am officially intrigued, this looks like a good dark fantasy flick like Legend or something.

They've talked about making a trilogy of films if this one is a success. I guess a "What happens after happily ever after" kinda thing. Which would be fine. Can even throw other fairy tales in there.

The Queen doesn't have to die, she can simply lose her power, and try to get it back.

I thought the trailer looked awesome, and I found it interesting that the main character didn't speak a single word in the trailer. Who was the girl in the beginning that gets the life sucked out of her. She looked familiar.
