The Dark Knight Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

There's a big difference between Joker hair and the brown hair while he was outside the bank, but my puny brain can't think of anything but wigs

Can't be a wig he's wearing outside, that's why I am kinda stumped by this one. The only thing that I can think is that when he's wearing the mask we're not going to get a decent look at the back of his head before it's dyed for the reveal.

Hey? What? He can't wear a brown wig outside?

I was thinking its just some kind of filming issue too, but this pretty much negates that:

This question just keeps bothering me. Answers that all seem very thin keep coming to mind: Sprinklers; two different robberies -- maybe the joker gets scarred in the first, and then goes back in same gear to show the manager his new look at a later time once Jokerized? I don't know -- maybe they are going to fix it later but a can't see why they would go to those lengths.

Very puzzling.

Maybe the picture of him behind the screen is after the bank robbery, and after he gets hurt (in the robbery or on the escape) he applies make-up to cover his wounds while still wearing the same suit.

I know that goes against the scene in The Sides, but that shot of the Joker behind the screen looks pretty dark -- not like he was in a bank at all. Maybe The Sides was just a rough sketch of what may happen in the film . . . but not completely identical to some events.

What if the foggy window shot doesn't take place at the bank?

That scene could really be the "LOOK AT ME!" with the captured fake Batman that we read from the sides.

It could be that the "foggy" shot isn't at the bank, but weren't we pretty sure that the "big Joker reveal" was at the bank? Does that mean we're gonna get a "flesh toned" Mr. J as the big reveal? I pose this question because if it is indeed the Joker behind the mask in our up close IMAX shot (the one with the blurry gunman), it is obvious that his eyes have no black circles. Oh, and I now officially coin the term "Blurry Gunman" to refer to that particular man in that particular frame.

Maybe it's a P.O.V flashback. One person recalls how it happened, the other remembers it differently.

Why is the Joker trying to hide his identity from his goons?

You know what's interesting... is that "goons" has become the accepted terminology for Joker henchmen. You say "goons" anywhere in the world, and comic-geeks like us know exactly what you're talkin' about

We dunno. One of his goons suggests the idea of killing him so maybe he's aware of a traitor within the ranks

Err...not really. "Goon" pretty much refers to any dumb henchman, of any villain.

Ok... ok... good point... But you get what I'm saying. It's not a word you'd use every day, unless you were discussing comic book characters... Or perhaps if you WERE a comic book character... Hmmmmm...

Kind of like The Prestige...its possible

Well Nolan does like to take a non-linear approach with his movies (the use of flashback for example).

Maybe the bank robbery scene will play as a flashback that is repeated all throughout the movie, each time ending differently. For example, Joker gets shot in one flashback and gets hit by the zipline in the other.

This may be why it's so confusing to everyone right now. I think I'm a genius. :wow: Not that I didn't know already--just that it's official now.

Or we haven't seen all the goons. And the one in the foreground with the gun pointed to his head isn't supposed to be heath but a decoy to fish out the traitor and then walks in Joker taking off his mask to reveal to the goon he got the wrong guy.

Now that is a very real possibility. I may have a new favorite theory to subscribe to.

Look at the foggy window picture again. It looks like the person sitting in front of the joker is wearing one of the masks.

It's odd that Joker is wearing the Grumpy mask yet that was one of the roles advertised using the sides.

Perhaps you're right... could that be the traitor he's gunned down?
