Sons of Anarchy - Part 2

I honestly wonder if there will be any part of Jax that doesn't immediately know that this was Gemma's doing.

Will Juice and Gemma be in hiding? I can't imagine the gall of them to show their faces to Jax after he presumably gets out of prison.

Not to mention that Jax told Juice, "I know you betrayed me," or something similar. Jax also told Bobby and Chibs and Juice can't be trusted, so I have to imagine that Juice will at least not be showing his face around the club.

Going into hiding would make it pretty obvious they were involved.

They're just going to go about their lives and act like they know nothing. Hiding in plain sight.

In Gemma's case, sure. In Juice's, not making a run for it is just waiting around for these guys to take him out of the equation.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the "you betrayed me" scene.

So Juice definitely has a reason to go on the run in the eyes of the Sons without it being suspicious. Its just now he has even more incentive to go MIA after what happened.

Jax seems to have a blindspot when it comes to his mommy, so I can see him not thinking that it was here initially. But seriously, Gemma NEEDS to get what's coming to her. She's pretty much the only character who hasn't paid for their sins.

Who wouldn't have a blindspot for their mother though…

Question is, what is the just punishment? Seriously doubt Jax would order a hit on his own mother. I think what'll happen is he will find a way to prove she did it, she will go to jail and he will visit her in prison to officially 'disown' her and exile her from the Sons.

For a woman who fears being alone and spent her entire life fighting to keep her family intact, what better punishment than to exile her from that family and leave her to rot in prison the rest of her days...

Juice also killed Roosevelt, so perhaps the bullets might be traced back to him unless the gun is not registered.

As for Gemma, she's been so up and down. We got under her tough exterior in season 2, but the past couple seasons it's been difficult to not loathe her. Season six obviously solidified the fact that Gemma will meet Mr. Mayhem. Jax probably wouldn't order a hit on Gemma - once Jax learns Gemma killed Tara, he will want to deal with Gemma personally.

Hell, the guy with cancer (Unser) will probably be the only one left standing by the time this show is over.

Wasn't it said earlier that Roosevelt is actually still alive? I seem to remember this.

Nope. Roosevelt's done.

The Season 7 synopsis in the previous page also states that he's dead.

Yeah the only way he was showing up this season was if he was in a coma and he came out of the coma. And Gemma would have probably found a way to have him killed before he woke up. It would have added drama, but it isn't really necessary so I get why they wouldn't go that route. Leaving him dead leaves everything nice and clean cut.

Not to mention he was bleeding out for at least 5-6 hours by the time Jax showed up.

Right the blood loss alone would have killed him.

Not necessarily. My own gunshot wound (.40 cal) stopped bleeding in about 30 minutes. Between the heat of the bullet cauterizing the wound and the bodies own amazing functions you won't always bleed out for hours. The body systematically shuts down blood flow and redirects in the event of trauma. Then there is the clotting functions. So it comes down to what the bullet hit. As long as it missed arteries and he wasn't gut shot or hit in the heart or brain he could survive for hours. He also fell on his front side which would have put pressure on the exit wound/s reducing the bleeding. All in all his survival wouldn't have been impossible medically speaking.

So, rewatching last season and ummm, did we ever figure out what August had going with Tig?? I swear I can't remember what came of that at the en of episode 3 when it ended with them and Tig lookin like he was about to be killed and I feel like I don't remember them ever bringing it back up

It was a loyalty test and Jax passed.

'Sons of Anarchy' Recruits Malcolm-Jamal Warner for Final Season

FX's motorcycle club drama has booked Malcolm-Jamal Warner for a recurring role in the seventh and final season, which kicks off Sept. 9, at 10 p.m. ET/PT with a supersized premiere.

Warner, best known for playing Theo Huxtable on The Cosby Show, will appear in at least two episodes — including the supersized season opener — as Sticky, a member of the Grim Bastards and right-hand man to T.O. Cross (Michael Beach).

Not sure I would recognize him all grown up. :p

EW has a roundup of tidbits from the Television Critics Association press tour.

Spoiler'ed just in case:

Sons of Anarchy is headed into its final season. Yet creator Kurt Sutter says the end of the road for FX’s biker hit has not yet been entirely mapped.

“Considering I’m a week-and-a-half behind writing episode 7, it could all change,” Sutter told reporters when asked about the series ending at the Television Critics Association’s press tour in Beverly Hills on Monday. “I’ve always had a sense of where I wanted it to go, and I come in each season with a blueprint with the big arcs and mile markers. And I’ve learned over seven seasons the looser I grip that idea the better the seasons are. And this season isn’t any different. I came in with how I wanted the season to end … but things change. It’s always been heading in the same direction, but the way I’m getting there continues to change.”

Also, Sutter warns not to expect the final season to feel markedly different: “I didn’t want it to feel like ‘the final season,’ or to have it feel different,” Sutter said. “I really want it to feel like another season from Sons, only that when we’re done there’s probably not a whole lot more story to tell.”

And will there be closure? “We don’t fade to black in a diner,” Sutter assured, referencing the infamous ending of HBO’s The Sopranos.

Other tidbits from the Sons of Anarchy panel and from chatting with Sutter afterward:
– Don’t expect dead characters showing up in the final season: “We don’t really do flashbacks,” Sutter said.

– The final season body count so far in the writing process is pretty much on par: “It’s average for us,” Sutter said.

– The new season starts 10 days after the season 6 finale, and Jax is on a mission to avenge Tara‘s death: “Jax is in a very schizophrenic state,” star Charlie Hunnam said. “He’s obviously very sad and vulnerable and kind of broken, but there’s a huge amount of vengeance and anger in his heart … He knows what he wants to do, and that’s where all his energy is going. He can’t get away from the fact that the love of his life has been taken from him.” Added Sutter: “[Jax]‘s singular purpose for most of the season is to avenge her death.”

– On fallout from last year’s infamous fork murder: “The reason why it was a fork was because it was there,” Sutter said. “People are coming up to [Katey Sagal] asking her to autograph forks … It’s not that my goal is to disturb people, but I also want that reaction when beloved characters go away. I want people to be upset. When Opie was killed people f–king hated me … They didn’t stop watching, but they were upset … To me, that means you’re writing characters who are relatable.”

– The Sons prequel series is still under discussion: “If I do the prequel, it will probably be a one-off,” Sutter said, suggesting a 10-episode miniseries model. “I don’t think it’s a full blown five-season series.”

– Tig gets a romance? “I find it hysterical that my fans are saying ‘Tig, don’t die!’” says Kim Coates, who plays Alex ‘Tig’ Trager. “I should have been dead 20 times by now. He’s a survivor.” Then Hunnam cryptically chimed in: “There’s a very exciting romance. I don’t want to tell you anything about it. Tig’s getting it this year.” (Our bet.)

– And no Sons panel would be complete without some Emmy snub trash talk: “Lest we not forget, it doesn’t matter at all!” Hunnam said. “There’s a perception we’re kind of upset about this. I really don’t give a s–t. I make this for the people who watch the show, and I really care about the work that I do … You can’t win them all.” With Theo Rossi adding: “You don’t make a show to win an award. You make a show for people to watch it.” Yet Sutter shrugged: “I want an Emmy.”
