Sons of Anarchy - Part 3

Speculation on what's going to happen with Juice (potential major spoiler from one of the actors):

Marilyn Manson posted a picture on Facebook from his last day of filming.

Jax already promised Juice that "it'll be quick", so he's probably going to have Tully kill Juice. It kind of makes sense that Juice would be killed by a white supremacist, as the chain of events which led to his downward spiral was caused by his fear of the club finding out his father was black. A bit of twisted irony.

I'm not so sure about that.
I don't think that Juice getting killed would be gratifying for the audience (as it would for them with Gemma) and I have a feeling Sutter knows that after watching Anarchy Afterwards last night. I can see Juice either killing Tully and going down fighting the rest of the Aryans or maybe finally finding the stones to kill himself. He might even just shank a guard in public and do a suicide by cop thing to go out on his own terms. I've learned to expect the unexpected when it comes to this show.

the sit down scene between Juice and Jax was some powerful stuff. Nero's scene after learning of the truth then breaking down was another good one. then the topper with the ending with Nero and Jax. but I hope Jax blows him off and does kill Gemma. because she deserves it. but most likely she'll kill herself.

the cancer must have gone to Unser's brain. how the hell has he not been able to piece this mess together yet? the preview shows he still doesn't get it.

the dirty cop. of course! too busy focusing on the MC everyone forgot about the middle man.

not liking what I saw in the preview concerning the other charter prez. that Indian Hills VP is reaching. but I don't see it going his way.

The best part of Nero's scene involving the phone call w/Jax is something that most viewers don't realize but when Smits filmed that, there's no one else on the other end of the phone. It's just a prop. Smits had to dig deep down and pull out an emotional reaction like that. It's something they made sure to point out on Anarchy Afterward.

Paris Barclay will direct Sutter's new pilot The Bastard Executioner.

Created by Sutter, The Bastard Executioner is a period drama that tells the story of a warrior knight in King Edward II’s charge who is broken by the ravages of war and vows to lay down his sword. But when that violence finds him again he is forced to pick up the bloodiest sword of all. Sutter and Barclay executive produce alongside Imagine’s Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo. Production is set to take place in Wales in early 2015.

I'll check it out. Definitely a good change of setting for Sutter since the last decade and an half has been the gritty streets. But I did lol a bit at the bloodiest sword of all bit, pretty cheesy writing there.

When you make me emotional based on your TV SHOW you deserve awards. This friggin show man. Soooooooo damn good. That Jax breakdown at the end was so raw. Damn Hunnam is so damn good.

I will agree it's weird how stupid Unser is being, but at the same time, I think one thing that's been hiding in the background since the beginning is that he loves Gemma. It was very bluntly stated by Clay is season 4 (I think?), but never really elaborated on, but I think it's why he generally goes pretty blindly into her schemes or supports her in whatever way he can.

Well if he loves her and I also believe he does he still should be able to connect the dots. Involuntarily. If he then chose not to tell Jax that would have been understandable. But the way Sutter has handled Unser this season is pretty awful. The only way Unser doesnt come out of this looking like the thickest person alive is if at the end he dies and an autopsy report says that the portion of his brain responsible for seeing patterns and drawing conclusions was ravaged by cancer.

Love blinds you sometimes, even to the obvious. It's not like the best explanation, but at the same time, I kind of get it. It's a lot like The Shield with Shane. He really doesn't get how bad the strike team has been, especially Vic, until he gets on their bad side in the end of the series.

Some damn good acting on display last night; some of the best exchanges of the entire run. I get where Jackie Boy was coming from in that last scene with Nero; he's pissed, but he's hurt at the same time. He's got too much invested in Gemma to just be able to fully turn all emotion off sans rage toward her. It doesn't mean forgiveness or even empathy. It's just complex ****.

What was up with that music during the chase scene?

No clue where this inevitably ends. I've learned to stop trying with this show. ...Gemma gotsta die tho.

Unser was rather blunt about it too last season(?). I thought they were going to follow that up explicitly afterward, but nothing much since.

An EW writeup pointed out that he purposefully went at Jax to draw a punch so he could get an APB out. Intent pretty much flew right by me there, given I'm used to him being so near oblivious.

I was thinking about that while watching it. I also really liked that they cut Jax off, and went to silence. It was all Nero's reaction, really fantastic stuff.

Smiths has been great in pretty much everything I have ever seen him in. I was so happy when I first heard he was joining this cast and he hasn't disappointed. :)

Yeah that's the only part of the episode I didn't like. Especially when it happens right after Neros emotional revelation about Gemma.

I think Unser baiting Jax into hitting him was smart of him, it was his own way of trying to protect Jax from killing anyone else. It looked upon initial viewing as him being a ******* but he may have been just trying to keep Jax safe on some level.

I think you might be right, though I wish it had been better presented. What we got just made him look like an ignorant fool. Though, granted, what he was saying was spot on, but. :o

I took it as him trying to protect Gemma not Jax.

I thought he was just pissed off.

I said it while it was airing but I think it's hysterical that Unser waits until S7 to actually act like a cop. If he wasn't lenient on the club since the first episode, most of this s**t wouldn't have happened. :funny:

Anyone actually rewatch that scene? The way Unser yells after getting punched is hysterical.
