Sons of Anarchy - Part 3

TONIGHT AAAAHHHHHHH

I'm hoping for the best, but the show is so convoluted now even in it's final season that I'm still kinda worried.

I can't remember a show that I've watched all the way through like this one. 7 years is a long time.

I feel the same way today as when the Shield was on it's last night... I was with that show from Day One to the very end...

I didn't start watching until between seasons 2 and 3. Caught up on the first 2 seasons on DVD during the summer then was a loyal viewer from that point forward.

Tuesday nights aren't going to be the same. :(

when I saw the first trailers for the show before it even started, I knew I was gonna be hooked... and when the first episode aired, I WAS...

I remember watching some preview footage at my movie theater, before the previews. I thought it looked and sounded like ****, honestly, but a friend had the DVDs and I gave it shot. Glad I did.

I didn't get started until a bit before S5. Good ol Netflix binge watching session. For some reason, I just dismissed it. Odd, given how much I enjoyed a lot of other FX shows at the time.

goodbye, Sons of Anarchy... it's been a great seven years... thank you for it all...

Was a great run, hope the actors find good work, they have all been great.

I didn't really care for that last shot. This show has never been good at CGI.

But yeah, very poetic. Very sad.

Brilliant ending that was somewhat predicted a while ago once that pic surfaced. It was the only way to go down though.

I thought the trucker's identity was a nice touch.

This was definitely Hamlet on Motorcycles. Bravo Kurt Sutter for executing your vision.

Great finale. Every thing that I wanted to see happen happened. One of the better finales Ive seen.

That shot of Jax, with the cigarette in his mouth, and the cop car in the background was great. Love that shot.

My only real complaint, which is just a small nitpick: They shouldve ended it on one of those shots of Jack riding with the cops in the background.

And the CGI was bad in some parts but at least there wasnt to much of that.

It's been a helluva ride. I started watching between seasons 3 and 4. And I dont care what anyone says: I'll put season 4 of SoA up there with the best seasons of Sopranos, Breaking Bad, and The Wire.

I'm so ****ing satisfied with that ending. Wow. 7 seasons now feels like it flew by. As a viewer that show tackled every emotion and the finale was just so fitting and provided closure. Definitely one of my all times faves and it just hit me a few minutes ago that it's really over.

Sutter you genius. Thanks for one hell of an emotional ride.

Damn, I don't remember ever seeing a more suspenseful episode of any TV show. I was on edge the entire time.

Love when Happy got shot in the arm and just shrugged it off.

The ending will take a while to sink in, but my immediate thought is that he died free, and that's perfect. As Blackman said, I think if had ended on Jax riding with the police behind him it would have been great as well -but I'm content either way.

All the bread and wine references have me confused. :( Like Jesus would give a blanket to aid in a murder? Or condone a suicide? WTF? What was Sutter trying to say with that?

You figured out more than I did haha :woot:

One thing I thought was really neat, was Jax in the blanket -it made him appear as the Reaper. Great touch.

crap ending...sutter blew it...the whole season was meh...and the ending didnt change anything..

The finale itself worked well enough to tie up loose ends, but the Christ imagery was a little overboard. Jax came to grips with being a criminal and killer, after all.

I'll give Kurt Sutter a pass on that, though. ;)

Loved loved the finale.
I usually wait for a series to have a full series before I get into it but this was the first show I watched from the start and loved.

Also loved that the final line was uttered by Michael Chiklis, with SOA being kinda an spiritual sequel to The Shield and all.

I love forward to where the cast goes from here..

This would have been better...I mean going out with a suicide ? Jax ? Seriously? Letting his kids grow up without him? I would have preferred Jax disappearing...

[blackout]Jax killing himself[/blackout] means his kids growing up without him, but disappearing wouldn't?

lol okay, good logic there.

The whole point of Jax letting his kids go was so that they wouldn't end up like he did following in JT's footsteps which may or may not come to fruition with Abel playing with that ring. The fear of history repeating itself is there.

He saved them by letting them go.

And as far as him driving into that semi, there's something poetic in him going out the same way as his father in the hopes of finally ending the cycle.

As soon as I saw that, I just went "Aw s***." Gemma is derailing his plans post-mortem, that b****. :csad:
