Sons of Anarchy - Part 3

What do you guys think the unwritten by law is

anyone but black.

Jax wants it lifted in exchange for the Mayhem vote. this will open the door to the patch over offer he made to T.O. of the Grim Bastards. The Bastards have less than a dozen guys at the moment. the patch over will keep them alive. also, I think Jax plans to have them set up a northern charter that will help Tyler and his Niners hold their territories against Alvarez and the Mayans and so on. Alvarez wouldn't cross the Sons. War is bad for business partners. Oso might go at it alone but he might end up like Alvarez's nephew.

I strongly disagree.
Unser was anything but likable. He was constantly eavesdropping on people and feeding information to Gemma. It's Unser's fault Gemma thought Tara made a deal (not that it excuses Gemma in any way for killing Tara). I swear, every episode had at least three instances of a door slowly opening and Unser poking his head inside. He was loyal to Gemma to a fault, and when Jax told him leave Gemma he pulled out a gun. While he was motivated by wanting legal justice for Tara's murder, he was also probably conflicted by his love for her.

Either way, Unser was an idiot who couldn't piece together that Gemma murdered Tara despite all the evidence he had.

I'm sorry, but I don't except the premise that "being an idiot" should be enough to justify killing someone in cold blood. That's just a disturbing attitude to have honestly. It's NOT his fault that Tara is dead, he didn't tell Gemma "hey go kill Tara." And yeah, he was loyal to Gemma. That's what father-figures tend to be. Jax was loyal to her to, heck she had to TELL HIM to shoot her because he STILL couldn't do it even after knowing everything that she's done. In the end, Unser was a sad old man clinging to the only thing that he though he had left.

I think it's that aswell, but maybe not, being that they already showed Jax mentioning to the Grim Bastards, I don't see the logic in hiding it from the audience? I don't know, i hope it's something else so it catches me off guard :)

?

That's not a disturbing attitude, it's reality. I didn't say Unser deserved to be killed in cold blood because he was an idiot. I said he was an idiot because he couldn't piece together the truth about Tara's evidence despite, as Juice said, everything being right in front of him. Unser's loyalty to Gemma clouded his judgment, and he absolutely knew that:

1. Jax would kill her.
2. Jax would kill anybody standing in the way of #1.

And yes, Unser bears responsibility for the chain of events leading to Gemma's death. You misinterpreted my comments as me saying he is equally at fault as Gemma (I explicitly said it didn't take away Gemma's responsibility). There is no denying that Unser jumping the gun on telling Gemma that Tara made a deal, when he hadn't really confirmed this information, did have its role in a chain reaction of events.

Also, Unser wasn't a "father figure to" Gemma. He was in love with her.

Unser knew what he was getting into when he stood between Jax and Gemma. That doesn't make it right for Jax to kill him, but it means that Unser took that risk knowing what would happen.

Agree about the patch over theory. Jax asked his mom about his dad's transcript to get that to the boys after he's dead. And he gets to chose death by suicide and drives his bike straight on into an 18 wheeler

the cameo completes the cameos of all the members of the shield's strike team. :word: the only two major players from the series that remain are Michael Jace (Julien) & Catherine Dent (Danni). Jace obviously isn't going to make any appearances. Dent might slip in the finale for all we know.

Ditto

the Bastards deserve it. they're the Sons' truest allies. they haven't asked for anything in return while every other set want to be compensated to hold the peace. it'll be Jax's parting gift to them before he rides off into the sunset.

If Jax makes it out of this alive, man, **** this show. Ugh

This entire post is a damn disgrace. Ummmm remember Ronnie?? The other guy on the Strike Team who hasn't been on this show yet? Come on, son. And, I think at this point you could count Jace completely out. Even if we had a few more seasons I bet you could count him out.

Ronnie (David Rees Snell) was on the show in season 4 i think, he was in Lincoln Potter's team to bring down the Sons

Quick Google search says that your memory is correct.

Yeah, seeing Chiklis was a real treat. I didn't catch that it was him right away but when I did I just had to smile. He's also been on American Horror Story Freakshow and it was a pleasure to see him there as well. :)

Damn!!! My mind is blown. I tip my hats to you guys. Didn't remember seeing him at all.

Anyone else kind of wonder what would've happened if Nero had gone to find Gemma rather than Unser? Do you think he would've gotten a bullet too? I'm not so sure... I think he would've gone about it differently. If worse came to worse, at least he's a better physical match for Jax that Unser, but I don't think it would go there.

I'm surprised Nero is gonna live through this. I have a feeling he takes Wendy and the kids with him if the Jax suicide rumors turn out to be true. They're both former addicts that bonded in that aspect and they know there's too much riding on it for them to relapse after all their kids have been through.

I guess I was the only one surprised that Gemma bought it. I truly thought she'd end up in prison because Jax wouldn't be able to go through with it.

RIP Unser. :(

1. I think they said that word getting out about Gemma killing Tara would cause even more trouble than they've already got.
2. I didn't think about it before, but a comment on youtube said that her being incarcerated could put her at risk of retaliation.

I think a bullet through the head was the kinder solution.

I'm not surprised it happened. I'm surprised it happened with one episode to go, a potential 2 1/2 to 3 hr one at that.

I like that they wrapped up the two most lingering storylines last ep. I expected that to (needlessly) keep going until the finale. Didn't see Unser coming initially, but that cleared up pretty quickly once it became obvious he wasn't leaving.

Near everything Jax did this week seemed to convey a man looking to fastly settle his affairs. I tried to give credence to some possible classic 'Jackie Boy turning the tables on someone and coming out on top' wrangling, but I don't see it.

Chiklis' character said he had four children. I'm totally going to pretend that was Mackey out in the further pursuit of more sketchy justice. Lone wolf. Yep. :o
