Yes! I hope we see her as Scream with the fabulous drag queen hair

I still have my reservations on how they'll handle Carnage. Are they even still using him?
Yes, he's been confirmed as the villain for the sequel.
Robert Richardson, the three-time Academy Award-winning cinematographer who is coming off of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, has signed on to shoot Venom 2.
Richardson is one of the industry’s most illustrious cinematographers, and one of the go-to guys for Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorsese and Oliver Stone.
In addition to Once Upon a Time, Richardson has worked with Tarantino since the Kill Bill movies as well as Inglorious Basterds, Django Unchained and The Hateful Eight.
He worked with Scorsese numerous times, shooting Casino, Bringing Out the Dead, Shine a Light, The Aviator, Shutter Island and Hugo. The latter and Aviator netted him Oscar wins.
His work with Stone ranged from Platoon andWall Street to JFK (another Oscar win) and Natural Born Killers.
There's no other movie that comes to mind with that massive gulf of a divide between audience praise and critic panning...and then that exact movie itself with that exact marketing with none of the other bells & whistles of other similar moviesI object to the term "Smash Hit" in that article.
Yes it made bank, but 29% Rotten Tomatoes from Critics and an 80% from audiences isn't exactly a glowing endorsement of the product. I'm blaming Amy Pascal's comments which blurred the lines between Venom & Homecoming. As well as the general MCU Spider-man excitement for pushing the numbers up. Especially because of all the speculation about the potential for a Holland cameo.
Besides one movie does not a universe make.

(maybe a Spidey cameo when there wasn't one whatsoever = more $$ than not just the average cbm,
but also the average Spider-Man movie???)
made that kind of bank.
Not sure I 100% follow you. I think you're agreeing with me, maybe . . . . .
The divide (29/80), well I could go to the DCCU for BvS (28/63) or Justice league (40/72). Those aren't even quite as big.
But yes, I think the idea that Venom might've been tied to the MCU gave it a curiosity/don't want to be left out bump, beyond just the pent up desire for the character.
Which also means to me Sony has a problem on their hands if the sequel isn't fantastic.
I'm saying it's undeniably a smash hit with all that being considered. "Overcame the odds"
I'm saying it's impossible for that MCU curiousity to be that significant of a reason for why it'd make that much money when they didn't deliver on that at all. We did get the furthest possible tease of the Daily Bugle & JJJ.
So, obviously people showed up for more than those things and are going into the sequel expecting more of what they got out of the first one.
