I only show respect to people who show some respect to me. No need to worry yourself.

I do hope you know that's not how the real world works at all.

By the way I replied toJoker/Doc Ock analysis in that thread. Man do you really consider it an analysis?! It was more like narcissistic self-praise!

How can it be "self-praise" if it's about gushing over a show, not himself?

And while it is more gushing over the show than an actual, objective review, it at least explains why he is defending the show and demonstrate several examples to back it up. That's comparatively better than the derp-fueled "duh, B:TAS is better" simplistic, one-sentence opinions that discourage an actual, fruitful debate.

that self-praise thing was intended as a metaphor ! i meant that he only talked about his favorite show and just focused on its strengths.

That's.....not a metaphor at all.

Please don't take offense at this, just a question, but is English your first language?

Yes it is

A metaphor is a comparison between two concepts without using "like" or "as", which would make it a simile. Yours is a badly formed analogy.

I am sorry but I don’t see the relevance of your question to the debate here

I was just wondering. It's not my first language.

On a board that has users from multiple countries where English is not the primary language, and whereas English is the primary language that is used for discussion here, I believe that at times clarifying another's primary language when having a discussion (especially when part of the discussion becomes the "meaning" or "definition" of words or phrases) is of merit (as long as it is asked in a respectful manner).

Excellent excellent analysis! All you say makes sense! I wish these BTAS fanatics could give us a similar analysis in defense of their beloved show!
THE TRUTH IS SPREADING!

Yep...the TRUTH is spreading.....the truth that you are animoured AND unicorn. Making multiple user names isn't against the rules...but making multiple user names so that you can talk about how smart and great one of your other user names is....well, that's sad.

Your other names will be banned...the 4th name you created that you haven't posted with yet will be allowed to remain. Do not do the same thing with it or it too will be banned.

I think it's very hard to compare both of these shows. B:TAS really set the standard for superheroes shows. Whether they say it or not every superhero show tries to take something from that show. The voice directing, the voice talent, animation etc was just so perfect for Batman.

But going back to what I said it's very difficult to compare the two. SSM had 26 episodes made, while B:TAS had over 100 episodes made. Not to mention it had 4 animated films to go along with it's continuity. B:TAS longevity allowed better and more episodes to be made. Both shows had their fill of mediocre to bad episodes, with B:TAS having more obviously because of it's longevity. With SSM we only had a handful of 26. I just personally feel like it's unfair to compare these two.

^Yeah, you're right about that. Perhaps it would be fairer if we were to compare just the first 26 episodes of BTAS with the 26 episodes we got from TSSM? lol

I think if where compareing the first 26 episodes then Spectacular wins. I didn't like that batman tas had 12 episodes with no well know villains.

Half of those episodes where ******** if you ask me. It not that the quailty of the marterial was bad just no good villains.

Also I don't like that there is no ongoing story.

BTAS was the start of something, but in the 90s, there weren't really anything that was serial like comics, so it was understandable that BTAS wasn't serial as TSSM was.

I know that its just a issue I have.

but the issue I don't understand is why half of the epiosdes didn't have any villains form his rouge gallery and if they where they where some half ass villain only the really hardcore fans know about.

That's because of FOX. They didn't allow certain villains, like even Firefly. Which is why they finally was able to show Firefly and why we only got to see him only once.

Lol...the first 26 episodes of BTAS outshines TSSM.

There was a MOOD set in my home when this cartoon came on in the early 90s... I don't think there's been anything quite like since. :cwink:

I fear that you're not taking all the elements in with your answer of which is better. The only thing TSSM has over BTAS is serial storytelling, everything else, BTAS has. That's why it's the best comic book animated series to date.

Voice acters tie
continual story spider man
Animation Batman
Villains spider man
loveable ch. spider man

Anything also?
