I don't like the idea of the multiverse. It means any character that has died thus far can return; thus cheapening their death...including Uncle Ben.

I guess this is how Marvel introduces X-Men and the Fantastic 4.

I have to get this off my chest... Why does a multiverse mean the Mutants and the FF have to come from there? Why?

We have the Eternals and Shang Chi as new entries... No one says they have to come from an alternate reality. Where were they? We just didn't see them. That's all the explanation needed. The Eternals are hugely powerful yet we didn't see them in Endgame. We haven't been introduced to them yet. The FF? Why aren't they around? Cuz... They aren't around yet. Reed and Co. don't have powers yet.

Even the Mutants... Because we haven't seen the X-Men yet doesn't mean they have to be from another reality. They haven't debuted yet as public super heroes, especially if they are going to start from scratch with a first team that is made up of bona fide young people.

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned the fact that Ultimate Mysterio was just classic Mysterio hopping dimensions to mess with people in another dimension, he could be doing that here or he could be full of ****. Given how the director is talking about it now I'm guessing Mysterio won't be conning them on the fact that he's from another earth.

I decided it's not that important to mention. He controls a puppet of himself in 1610 Universe from his own Dimension.

A reddit user is claiming that sony and marvel are currently working out a new deal. But its up in the air if Sony will renew.

So, anyway, Marvel has proposed a deal with Sony. These are the terms of it:

- Marvel Studios will get full creative control over live-action characters like Spider-Man, Venom, Black Cat, etc., but Sony will still have distribution rights and gain most of the profit.

- Morbius' status is up in the air, but Venom 2, Kraven and all the other "spinoffs" will be cancelled for sure. Marvel will reboot Venom, but they will use Tom Hardy in the MCU in a different role, due to the fact that he is still signed on for at least two more movies. (Perhaps Wolverine? The Thing?)

- Some of the projects could be adapted into Disney+ series/miniseries.

- Marvel is considering reviving the "Silver and Black" project, and also plans to use Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman in a movie or Disney+ miniseries.

- Sony will keep the animation rights, because Marvel feels like they should remain as they are.

- Kraven the Hunter will debut in Spider-Man 3, as a Sinister Six member.

- Venom could be the main antagonist of Spider-Man 4, which may also introduce Miles Morales.

- Marvel still wants to make a Sinister Six spinoff movie, which could function as a "redemption story" for the group. The movie may take place in The Savage Land (which is what Sony's original plan was before Spider-Man joined the MCU) and The Lizard may be the main antagonist. Drew Goddard is almost certainly going to direct, because he loves the idea.

- There is already a possible actor Marvel is eyeing for the role of Eddie Brock/Venom in the MCU: Dacre Montgomery, AKA The Red Ranger and Billy Hargrove from Stranger Things.

- Speaking of Stranger Things, Caleb McLaughlin (who played Lucas) is an early frontrunner for the role of Miles Morales.

- There are plans for a crossover movie that could feature Spider-Man teaming up with Venom, Miles, Black Cat, Spider-Woman and other heroes (and possibly villains/antiheroes) from Spider-Man's universe. There are several key comic storylines the movie could adapt, but the most likely story is Maximum Carnage.

- Don't expect to see Nightwatch, Jackpot or Silk anytime soon, if ever.

Now, even if this is true (and I'm not sure it is) it all depends on whether or not Sony agrees to this deal. And, being the idiots they are, they probably won't.

I don't like Dacre Montgomery for Venom AT ALL, though. Agent Venom, maybe, but we already have Flash in the MCU. They need to use him as Havoc, I really can't see him as Eddie.

Saving Tom Hardy from being stuck doing Venom sequels and getting him into the MCU one way or another would get a yes from me.

I wish Marvel would get full control over Spider-Man. I don’t trust Sony with it at all and I don’t want them to screw things up for Tom Holland in the MCU or try to pull him out of it.

Totally agree - they have delved into the quantum realm, time travelled and created or at least had the potential to create alternate dimensions as mentioned by the ancient one.
It was all too convenient for Capt. Marvel to be away in space - the x men were just watching all these events from their lounge? As long as it seems organic, go for it. However, i like the idea that the x men are present in this universe and that some did react to events in the MCU - imagine a scene where logan was their in NYC, he was fighting Chitauri, he takes down a whole alley way of them, his claws drenched in their blood, they slide back into his clenched fists as civilians look on, in shock - Logan is worried for exposing his mutant powers - suddenly Thor shows up, tells them to take cover and leads them all away. Over in Sokovia, Magneto has to change his plans due to the events of Ultron etc. If the X men are all young, 20-40 then you can see why they were reluctant to expose themselves as a team, but work in the shadows.

However, this MCU may feel convoluted now.

I mean... You can apply these questions to many more of the possible upcoming IPs, not just FF and X-Men... Does that make any real sense or sound satisfying when the whole point of getting things like the IPs back from FOX was that they can now have characters interact on a regular basis?

11 years of fanboys and fangirls hyperventilating about not having the FF or X-Men in the MCU and now suddenly... The trend around here is to want the FF and the X-men to be from an alternate reality where they won't interact with the other heroes of the MCU and will show up only during interdimensional crossover stories?

Well, I’m not a huge Marvel fan overall, so I’m not bothered about them not all being in the same universe.

And the multiverse makes the most sense. It just does.

So is there a reason on why Peter bothers in dodging bullets while taking on the armed gunmen in his iron spider outfit? Isn't that suit supposed to be bulletproof?lol

And man, I really miss the cinematography from the first TASM film. If they could figure out on how to shoot these films like that then a lot of things (while still decent) would look A LOT better.
